Orlando Jones Acts Out The Internet's Favorite Emojis

The star of Fox's Sleepy Hollow breathes life into 21 of the most popular emojis!

In the year since Sleepy Hollow debuted, Orlando Jones, who plays Capt. Frank Irving, has become quite the online fixture. His Twitter and Tumblr presence can be felt long after he's finished live-tweeting new episodes. In fact, Jones has so deeply endeared himself to the blogosphere, the internet obsessive has turned into an online obsession.

"It's fun," Jones told BuzzFeed News of his life on the web. "I enjoy hearing what the fans have to say, I enjoy the fan art, and the fan fiction, but the most fun is when I show up at Comic-Con or PaleyFest and recognize somebody. I see these people on my feed all the time, so the most fun is meeting them. Plus, I'm a fan, so to interact in the fandom is fun — but to troll it is the most fun thing."

And troll it he has. From stealth-liking Tumblr posts about Sleepy Hollow, to re-posting fan art, and partnering with Supernatural star Misha Collins on long cons, Jones has made an art out of messing with the internet. "We are going for it at all costs," he said, laughing, of plotting online events with Collins. "We call each other and we'll partner up to do something stupid together. Or sometimes he'll do something and I'll DM him to be like, 'That was ridiculous. Like, really, snake oil salesman?'"

Jones is also using his newfound popularity for good. In addition to creating an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video that brought awareness to another important issue, Jones recently launched IROC Emoticons, the first ever socially diverse emojis app. So it was only natural that BuzzFeed ask Jones to take it one step further and use his acting skills to bring the emoji world to life.
