Now: Alyson will be starring opposite Mira Sorvino in the upcoming comedy Dodie & Cheryl Get Hitched and providing a voice for the animated children's show Fancy Nancy.
Then: In 2003, Nicholas was featured in the TV movie The Pool at Maddy Breaker's. A year later, he publically announced that he voluntarily entered rehab for alcoholism.
Now: Despite his continuing struggles with addiction, Nicholas has been making the rounds at multiple cons and will be seen in two episodes of the show Dark/Web. He's also been working on the Buffy comic since 2014, which is a great continuation of the series.
Then: A year before Buffy ended, he released an album with George Sarah entitled Music For Elevators. Shortly after his stint as Giles came to an end, Anthony went on to make multiple television appearances and co-star in Imagine Me & You in 2005.
Now: In 2018, Anthony has already co-starred in multiple shows, including The Split and Girlfriends. He released a solo album in 2014 titled Staring at the Sun.
Then: At the time of his final Buffy appearance, David was wrapping up the fourth season of the show's spin-off, Angel, which ended the following year. In 2005, he began his 12-year run as Seeley Booth on Bones.
Now: A year after Bones ended, David began starring in SEAL Team, which was recently renewed for a second season.
Then: Despite his death in the Buffy series finale, James was brought back to play Spike during Angel's fifth and final season. His band, Ghost of the Robot, also released an album in 2003.
Now: James recently co-starred in Marvel's Runaways as Victor Stein. The show was picked up for a second season by Hulu earlier this year.
Then: In 2003, Emma starred in the horror film Darkness Falls and then broke all of our hearts when she didn't survive the Buffy finale.
Now: Recently, Emma married Mark Leslie Ford and officially changed her name to Emma Caulfield Ford in 2017. Last year, she appeared in an episode of Fear the Walking Dead and Training Day.
Then: Right before coming back to Buffy for the final episodes, Eliza made multiple appearances on Angel as the rogue slayer, Faith. In 2003, she also starred in the horror movie Wrong Turn.
Now: In 2017, Eliza starred in the film Eloise and appeared in three episodes of the series Bull. Earlier this year, she became one of the many actresses to open up about her past abuse in Hollywood.
Then: In 2004, Michelle starred in the movie EuroTrip and was featured in four episodes of Six Feet Under. In 2005, she starred in the movie Ice Princess.
Now: Since her Buffy days, Michelle has appeared in many shows and films, including Gossip Girl. In 2018, she made her 6th appearance on Robot Chicken.
Then: Shortly after Buffy, Tom reprised his role as Andrew in two Angel episodes. He was also featured in an episode of Joey and Six Feet Under in 2004.
Now: In addition to his fantatsic Instagram, Tom was recently in an episode of Workin' Moms and Another Period.
Then: D.B. made multiple television appearances after Buffy and eventually became a regular on 24 in 2007.
Now: D.B. plays a recurring character on Suits and is one of the stars of Lucifer, which was recently canceled by Fox. He'll soon be starring in the dramedy The Fixer, which premieres in July.
Then: In 2003, Nathan was wrapping up the first and (sigh) final season of Firefly. However, his character Mal had a reprieve when the movie Serenity was released in 2005.
Now: In 2016, Nathan completed the eight and final season of Castle. His upcoming new show, The Rookie, will preiemre later this year.
