The biker gang shootout in Waco, Texas resulted in 170 people arrested and 9 people dead. Ever since the shoot 'em up, bang-bang brawl at a local restaurant we've had a chance to sit back and observe a few things. Media coverage and the reaction by law enforcement officials is very different when compared to high-profile situations such as the Baltimore Uprising movement and Ferguson protests. Here are 7 little white truths about the Battle of Waco.

1. The Bandidos and Cossacks are only "warring tribes in an unforgiving environment" and history justifies their actions.

(NYT) "In the denim-and-leather world of Texas motorcycle gangs, the Bandidos and the Cossacks are warring tribes in an unforgiving landscape.

Both originated in Texas in the 1960s. But the Bandidos were first, in 1966, with the Cossacks forming in 1969. The Bandidos became the state’s biggest motorcycle group, but one that now tries to walk a fine line — declared by the government to be a criminal enterprise involved in the distribution of drugs, but also engaged in political advocacy on behalf of motorcyclists and activities like charity runs.

There is little that is ambiguous, however, about their feud with the Cossacks. Last year, two members of the Bandidos, including the president of the Abilene chapter, were indicted on charges of stabbing two men, in what the police said was a conflict with the Cossacks. The feud formed the backdrop of the shootout here on Sunday afternoon, when a gathering intended to discuss bikers’ rights and how to work on issues of mutual concern erupted into gunfire that left nine bikers dead and 18 others wounded."

3. Out of 170 majority white bikers arrested, there's a huge focus on the black guy.

(CNN) An ex-vice detective who embraced the culture of a reputed outlaw biker gang.

A 62-year-old who posts images of his ailing mother with her pooch in one Facebook post and raunchy sex jokes in the next.

A man who poses alongside his son, middle finger to the air, then lauds his work with special needs children and extols the blessing of healthy grandchildren.

Much like the black-and-white goatee he has been rocking since at least 2013, Marty Lewis represents a dichotomy.

Lewis is one of the 170 bikers arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity after a brawl and shootout at a Waco, Texas, restaurant left nine bikers dead. He remained in the McLennan County Jail on Wednesday with many of his biker brethren, unable to post the $1 million bail set by a judge."

4. The homelife of the shootout victim's has not been dissected on national TV. Their moms' judge of character remains clean. Afterall, these were just good boys in a sticky situation. They weren't gangsters or thugs. We don't even know their names. #RIPWaco

5. Texas Senators have not yet blamed absent fathers on the blood shed in Waco. In fact, they have said nothing publicly about the Battle of Waco.

(Think Progress) "Two days later, Cornyn went so far as to blame riots in Baltimore on absent fathers, linking to a Bloomberg article about the breakdown of traditional family structures in the black community and the raising of children out of wedlock.

Cruz was similarly vocal about violent protests stemming from Gray’s death, slamming President Obama for “inflaming” the riots. “He has not used his role as president to bring us together,” he said, while speaking before the National Press Club. “He has exacerbated racial misunderstandings, racial tensions.”

6. The Waco Bikers are not being held to the same ideals as George Washington. He would be so disappointed about this senseless act of violence.

7. There's no need for the National Guard to be activated. No bombs over Waco. No military guns will be drawn on innocent bystanders. The tanks will remain parked.
