Is Pokemon Go A Distraction For Drivers?

Many would say it's no big deal but Pokemon Go is causing distracted driving all across the nation. Several car accidents have already happened because of it and several injuries off the road have been a result as well. Trying to search for and catch a pokemon while one is trying to drive has become a huge problem with this app.The point of the game is to walk around and find a pokemon that pops up and use your finger to throw a pokeball at it to catch it. When walking around gets too exhausting, people have to take it to the next level which is driving. You just drive around and find anything that pops up. The new apps that allow people cheat and see where a pokemon is at it's given location and make a route to it are not helping at all. This tempts people to drive to its location and puts other people on the road in danger. Many of my friends have already admitted to driving and playing Pokemon Go. This is just an example of how people don't mind it when they set there phones on vibrate so when something pops up, they can just stop the car and catch it. It is a lot more difficult than it sounds and has already put many people in danger. The app had it's most recent update which actually prompts the player when they open the app to not play Pokemon Go while driving. It also encourages people not to trespass and to look where they're going. While this won't necessarily stop people, further actions will probably be taken to reduce playing the app while driving. For instance, it probably will disable the user from playing if going over 20 mph. Be careful when playing Pokemon Go! Such a fun app can still cause harm to yourself and people around you!
