"This whole interview was mostly about a few raunchy jokes I made," Banks commented on Instagram, "when I really spoke about so much more."
1. Even as a toddler, Banks wasn't to be messed with.
2. She aspired to Disney stardom.
3. Then she discovered the Internet.
4. Banks didn't ask to be your role model.
5. She's not afraid to play dirty, either
6. Fame has been complicated for the young rapper.
7. But she's not about to sell out. (Unless you're selling beats, that is).
8. Banks has been working on a book that tells "the fable of Azealia Banks." She read a few lines to Billboard.
9. Her work routine is unconventional—to say the least.
10. And she uses tech metaphors to talk about religion.
11. Banks might talk tough, but she's not about to commit vehicular homicide or anything.
12. She calls it like she sees it—and doesn't care who she offends.
13. ...Even if you happen to be the 88-year-old mother of the British Royal Family.
14. Oh, and she really loves cats.
15. As long as she's on Twitter, Banks doesn't need the media. The racy lyricist seems to have done just fine on her own.
I don't think the media gives readers enough credit for actually being smart and intelligent.
