Honestly, We're Not Sure How The "The Simpsons" Made These 10 Accurate Predictions, But We're A Little Frightened

Ok, now this is just bizarre.

1. Donald Trump as President — Season 11, Episode 17

This episode – "Bart to the Future" – aired in 2000, 16 years before Trump would be elected.

2. iPhones and Autocorrect — Season 6, Episode 8

The episode, "Lisa On Ice," aired in 1994 and featured a device called an Apple Newton PDA. The logo seems like a spoof of an Apple device, however, this was 13 years before the release of the first iPhone. When a character types "Beat up Martin," the Apple Newton PDA autocorrects it to "Eat up Martha" which a lot of us can ducking relate to. The only thing is that autocorrect was first introduced IRL in 2005. The Simpsons called it 11 years before it happened.

3. Smartwatches — Season 6, Episode 19

In 1995, The Simpsons featured a phone-watch hybrid in an episode entitled "Lisa's Wedding," 20 years before the release of the Apple Watch.

4. FarmVille – Season 9, Episode 12

In the 1998 episode, "Bart Carny," The Simpsons cracked a joke about kids playing a yard work simulator. At the time, the idea seemed utterly laughable. However, in 2009, 11 years after the episode premiered, people all over the world were obsessed with a game called FarmVille in which they could plow, plant, and harvest crops and trees.

5. Faulty voting machines — Season 20, Episode 4

In the Halloween special, "Treehouse of Horror XIX," a rigged voting machine changes Homer's votes for Barack Obama to John McCain several times. The episode was released in 2008, and four years later in 2012, an electronic voting machine in Philadelphia would select Mitt Romney even when voters would try to click Obama.

6. Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show — Season 23, Episode 22

A Simpson-ized version of Lady Gaga performed for the town of Springfield hanging in midair in the 2012 episode, "Lisa Goes Gaga." Five years later in 2017, Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show featured her dropping from the top of the stadium via wire. Was Gaga inspired or did The Simpsons just know?

7. 🚨Game of Thrones SPOILERS🚨 Daenerys Targaryen's big plot twist — Season 29, Episode 1

In the 2017 episode, "The Serfsons," Homer's antics lead to a dragon incinerating an entire village. In 2019, two years after that Simpsons episode aired, Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 5) showcased Daenerys and her dragon killing thousands of innocent people via fire.

8. Disney buys 20th Century Fox — Season 10, Episode 5

In the 1998 episode, "When You Dish Upon a Star," a sign in front of the 20th Century Fox studio reveals that it's a division of Walt Disney Co which wasn't true... at the time. In 2017, 19 years later, Disney purchased 21st Century Fox.

9. Siegfried and Roy tiger attack — Season 5, Episode 10

In the 1993 episode, "$pringfield," two magicians performing in a casino are mauled by a white tiger. In 2003, 10 years after the episode aired, Siegfried and Roy were attacked by one of their white tigers.

10. And lastly, a letter from one of the Beatles — Season 2, Episode 18

In the 1991 episode, "Brush with Greatness," Ringo Star answers old fan mail and responds to a painting Marge sent him in high school. In 2013, 22 years later, a similar situation happened but with Paul McCartney. Two fans sent a letter to McCartney, but it never reached him. That is until the fan mail was found at a car-boot sale. In an episode of BBC's, The One, the two fans are reunited with the letter ands a reply from McCartney himself!
