Carnegie Mellon Knows How To Go Hard... On Booth

We are more than just academics

Every spring Carnegie Mellon hosts what is known as "Spring Carnival." During this weekend, student organizations build 1-2 story booths adhering to an overall carnival theme. Spring Carnival 2016's theme was "Game Night."

So... what the f*** is booth?

No other school can ever truly understand what booth is and why it means so much to Carnegie Mellon students. Spend an entire semester with countless all nighters (not to mention all the all nighters you need to pull for class) just to have your booth open for 3 days before tearing it down? Sounds crazy to me!

    But it's a tradition.

Organizations pride themselves in the booths that they create. These students put in the same dedication and hard work that they apply to their studies and the results are completely amazing. From scraps of wood to 2 story structures, these transformations are incredible.

Each year's freshmen class is given this amazing experience that's so unlike the norm of a college experience. Each second of build, you want to give up and just sleep but the motivation and adrenaline of your peers pushes you further until finally, that glorious Thursday when we're done.

And then....finally....after a whole semester of hard work/planning, an entire week of all-nighters and donuts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and way too much time spent with fellow ASA members.... we did it.
