ow. It is amazing who people will associate themselves with and look past their hideous hate stances. Over the weekend Tebow was a guest at the Canyon Ridge Christian church and went on stage to teach pastor Kevin Odor how to teabag Tebow. Here is some info on Kevin Odor the head pastor. He and the "ranch" supported the Ugandan Kill Gays bill creator Pastor Martin Ssempa. The bill which is being considered again right now in parliament as we speak. When he and the church started to come under fire for finacially supporting Ssempa he released this statement.
Now the problem comes last Fall that there was a member of Parliament who decided to propose a bill to take care of some things that he was concerned weren’t being protected. And it was introduced as the Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda. There had been a number of sodomy laws on the books already in Uganda but there were a couple of things that weren’t protected. One in particular is aggravated pedophilia basically where there was a repeat offender who was violating young men over and over again and there wasn’t a protection for that. And the second was now with HIV/AIDS if someone with HIV/AIDS, knowing that, violated someone and passing that on that was another concern.
And so…the new bill that was written had about 60% of the old bill in it and it added these new provisions to protect young people and this lawmaker’s idea was to make the equal punishment because over there already on the books if a man violates a young woman, the man would be put to death. The death penalty was prescribed for that. Let’s make that equal for young boys, let’s make the death penalty for someone who violates young boys. And so that was his intent and that was what he put in the bill
This was a complete lie. The Ugandan penal code already included boys. In which you can read here
But the heat kept coming until finally Odor released this statement ending his church's association with Ssempa:
"Canyon Ridge Christian Church began work in Uganda with the intent of helping address the HIV/AIDS pandemic that was wiping out generations of people in that country and other parts of Africa. Our partnership with Pastor Martin Ssempa began in response to this intent.
Because of the current controversy in Uganda over the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, and because of Pastor Ssempa’s involvement in the support of the bill, we have been in regular communication with him to clarify his positions and opinions. While we have come to understand that Pastor Ssempa advocates for an amended version of the Anti-Homosexuality bill that removes the death penalty and reduces other severe penalties, he still supports passage of this bill.
We, however, do not support him in this effort.
Further, we condemn acts of violence against any person regardless of sexual orientation.
Canyon Ridge no longer financially supports Pastor Ssempa and we have ended our partnership with him as of 10/25/2010.

Tebow sends a bad message by showing support for Odor and his church. I will also ad that when people on pedestals fall, they fall hard. Just saying Tebow....
