Super Dislike? 5 Reasons It's Time To Ditch Tinder

Are you getting burned out on Tinder? You're not alone. If you're thinking about ditching the dating platform, take a gander through these reasons why Tinder blows.

1. Tinder Went Postal On Nancy Jo Sales

Remember that episode of Pretty Wild, when Bling Ringer Alexis Neiers went cat 5 batshit on Nancy Jo Sales via voicemail? Tinder did pretty much the same thing, to the same woman, on Twitter. They didn't like her write-up in Vanity Fair. Nor did Neiers for that matter. But Neiers was a drug addled teenager who later cleaned up her act. What's Tinder's excuse?

2. CEO Sean Rad was chill with sexual harassment in the workplace

These are some of the texts sent to former co-founder, Whitney Wolfe, by co-founder Justin Mateen. Sean Rad's response? Shrug. Whitney settled for a whooping settlement and started Bumble, a safer dating platform for women. No wonder Tinder are so lenient on abuse within the app. Culture starts at the top.

3. Fuckboys. Fuckboys Everywhere.

This infographic condenses the abuse as chronicled in the Instagram 'Bye Felipe.' Getting verbally abused by strangers is apparently part and parcel of the Tinder experience. Uh, nope?

4. Netflix And Chill Is Not A Relationship

According to oft-screamed at journalist, Nancy-Jo Sales, Tinder is the harbinger of the dating apocalypse. With endless opportunities at your fingertips, you may end up being a serial dater with a reluctance to commitment to anything except Netflix. Then you bring in the chill. Hey, maybe one night hookups are your thing. But if they're not, considering moving away from Tinder.

5. TINDER TRIED TO SUE A FREAKING AIDS CHARITY

A FREAKING AIDS CHARITY. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation launched the billboard pictured above. Because, y'know, when you casually hookup with lots of random people, you may catch the clap. But Tinder didn't like this one bit. Despite the fact that research points to an upswing in STDs since the app launched. Instead of thinking 'well at least someone is giving out free STD checks' Tinder decided to send a cease and desist letter to the AIDS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION. BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERALLY THE WORST. "“These unprovoked and wholly unsubstantiated accusations are made to irreparably damage Tinder’s reputation in an attempt to encourage others to take an HIV test offered by your organization,” said Tinder's evil lawyer. TO THE AIDS CHARITY. Encouraging sexually active people to get an AIDS test? Sue them, obvs. What we really need is money being taken away from AIDS research and shoved into the pockets of grubby millionaires.
