Summer is approaching quickly and we all know it is easier said than done to commit to staying fit.

You shouldn't have to torture yourself to keep a few pounds off. Make smart choices. Instead of the soda, have water. Instead of the french fries, have some fruit. One substitute per day will go a long way.

2. Stay Active.

You don't have to go to the gym every day for hours at a time. You can just take the stairs instead of the elevator. Or do some squats while watching your favorite t.v show. Or take an extra lap around the mall before you leave.

3. Stay Hydrated.

You would think drinking lots of water would be easy. Many people forget to stay hydrated due to our busy schedules. Remember staying hydrated helps your metabolism.

P.S. Try to drink more water than alcohol.

4. Take Vitamins.

Being healthy is key to being fit. Whether your preference is a multi-vitamin or individual vitamins, make sure you take the recommended doses and consult your doctor.

5. Don't Forget to Eat!

It has been said that you should eat smaller portioned meals more frequently instead of just three meals a day: breakfast - snack - lunch - snack - dinner

And remember the better you treat your body, the better you feel!
