Police in Saskatoon sprung into action this week when a family of ducks seemed in danger.

“We came because the citizens were concerned,” Const. Joey Taylor told The StarPhoenix. “They saw them downtown, didn’t want anybody to get hurt, and didn’t want any of the ducks to get hurt."

Two bike cops provided an escort as a mother and her dozen ducklings slowly waddled toward the South Saskatchewan River.

This duck and her babies had a police escort as they navigated their way down 22nd st. to the South Sask. River #yxe

The whole thing was very cute.
