I love them all already.
Ashley Madison has been in the drag business for eight years and in that time she's not only racked up multiple accolades, but she's also launched the career of many other drag queens around the country through her booking agency "Book A Queen"! If that wasn't enough, Ashley is also a DJ and owns "Miss Madison", a successful 3D-printed jewellery business. Drag queen, businesswoman, DJ, jewellery designer — that's what we call a quadruple threat!
When it comes to skills and expertise, Bumpa Love is top of the list. She's been entertaining audiences in Australia and New Zealand for 25 years — like, how incredible is that?! Some of her achievements include producing Auckland's night-time Parade, being the Sponsorship & Events Manager for Melbourne's gay rub team "The Chargers", creating Melbourne's Drag Awards and running Australia's only drag queen-owned and produced venue, Vau d'vile Drag Cabaret.
Flor was born in Guatemala and describes herself as a "sultry Latin queen". Specialising in make-up (in case that wasn't evident because how freakin' good does she look?!), Flor is inspired by strong Latin women who are aware of their voices and stay true to who they are. Her drag name is also a tribute to her mother.
Gabriella Labucci is a multi-talented drag queen, with skills in singing, dancing, roller skating, modelling, hosting, voice-over and acting. Her experience is in cabaret and drag performance, and she's ready to take on RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under with her heart of gold and unique sense of humour.
Although Hollywould was born in the United States, they have called the beautiful state of New South Wales home for the past nine years. They also have one heck of an impressive resume, which includes performances in major stage productions like The Book Of Mormon and Kinky Boots, and performing with Grammy award-winning singer Kelly Rowland at the 2023 Domain Dance Party for Sydney World Pride. By the sound of that, Hollywould is not here to play, they're here to win.
Mixing old-fashion glamour, fierce, edgy entertainment and high fashion looks (featuring custom couture creations made by her own hand), Isis Avis Loren has become a prominent queen of the Naarm, Melbourne drag scene. She's also co-produced a solo show called Ballads & Ballgowns.
Ivanna Drink has over eight years of experience spanning Australia and New Zealand — and with her dazzling outfits, bright hair and signature smile, she's ready to bring the party to the latest season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under. She's also married to Drag Race alum Anita Wigl'it — and now I'm imagining how cute a couples challenge would be on the show.
In her Instagram bio, Ivory Glaze describes herself as "50% Chinese, 50% Dutch, 100% Gorgeous" — and I feel like that's a perfect way to sum her up. Inspired by beauty, glamour and a love for fashion, Ivory often pushes the boundaries through her polished looks, while bringing her exuberance to the drag scene.
Although Rita Menu has only been doing drag for a year, she's super competitive and means business. Billing herself as a singer, dancer and seamstress, Rita has already impressed audiences in New Zealand's drag scene with her performances.
