"Diablo IV" Has Landed With Hooded Cultists Mingling With Sydneysiders And It's Equal Parts Hilarious And Terrifying

Lilith hath arrived...and she's currently on my train to Central.

After an 11-year wait (yes, it's been that long since Diablo III was released), gamers can rejoice in the fact that the much-anticipated sequel, Diablo IV, has finally been released.

Taking place 50 years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls, players will be transported back into the bleak world of Sanctuary where Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto, has returned to wreak another battle against heaven and hell.

Even if you're not a gamer, there's a high chance that you've seen some of Blizzard's marketing for Diablo IV — because they've spared no expense.

From the chance to have your eulogy read by the one and only Megan Fox, to Halsey and Suga of BTS channelling dark mythology in a Diablo IV-themed music video and single called "Lilith", the marketing has seriously been on-point for the release of this dark fantasy game.

#DiabloIV is here, embrace the bloodshed.

Now, the pits of hell have opened up in Australia — specifically in Circular Quay where Sydneysiders have been invited to witness the darkness rising as the city is transformed into a living hellscape.

If you're not willing to make the mandatory ritual blood sacrifice to see the portal (kidding!), then you can spot Lilith herself roaming the streets of Sydney and invading the city's public transport system with her loyal band of hooded cultists.

And like, we need a moment for the Lilith cosplayer because she is giving the exact vibe that a Queen of Hell should have.

Australians who aren't in the know are understandably spooked at a bunch of hooded cultists murmuring demonic rituals under the bridge.

But also, I just love how the Blizzard ANZ team know their audience and have blessed us with these hilarious photos of evil devotees just trying to enjoy everyday life, ya know?

The activations are running from June 6–7, so if you want to pledge your allegiance to Lilith, time is running out.

Diablo IV is available to play on PC, Xbox and PlayStation now.
