When you try to explain why you can't speak the language well even though you're Filipino.

Which sucks, because they almost always assume it's because you're born rich.

"Ng" and "Nang" are your worst enemies.

And don't even get me started on Tagalog essays.

When your Tagalog-speaking friends try to teach you, you don't know if you should trust them or not.

And they always ask you to say a Tagalog tongue twister.

Which you're only gonna regret later when you realize how stupid you must have sounded.

When you meet a fellow Tagalog noob, you instantly feel like you're home.

But it's not like you're not trying to learn.
