Here's What Happens When You Eat 31 Packets Of Taco Bell's Hottest Hot Sauce

Spoiler alert: It does not go well.

So, naturally, I got my hands on 100 packets and dared myself to see how many I could eat.* The rules were simple: No water. No milk. No bread or other food. Just me vs. ~Diablo~.

Packet 1: "I feel strong. I feel ready."

Call it bravery or call it stupidity (no, definitely call it stupidity), but the general consensus was that I could probably get through all 100 packets.

Packet 3: "Oh, my brain feels weird."

Now might be a good time to note that I'm not one of those people who is really good at handling spicy foods. To be honest, I'm not really good at handling anything.

Packet 7: "It's OK. I'm good. Be chill."

David Bertozzi / BuzzFeed

When I began to hiccup, more than one person told me there would be no shame in walking away. Shame obviously isn't something I'm worried about, but the carpeting is. A bucket was fetched "just in case" and I proceeded.

Packet 8: "Turn up the heat" was written on the packaging, and it did not disappoint.

Around packet seven is when the pain expanded past my mouth and throat and began to seep into the rest of my body.

So our champion continued to endure.*

*Please keep in mind that our "champion" is also our narrator, so take his referring to himself as "champion" with a grain of salt.

Packet 26: "My belly to the top of my head now feels the same way my lips have felt since the beginning."

David Bertozzi / BuzzFeed

~Diablo~ is burning my entire body. Still high on the accomplishment of downing two packets at once and with 100 packets still far on the horizon, I reach for the sun...the bright, hot sun...

An earlier version of this post misnumbered one of the packets. In my defense, they were really hot.
