During a visit to New Kids on the Block's Los Angeles performance of their Main Event Tour, BuzzFeed got the boys to react their old merchandise from the '80s.

Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, and Jordan Knight got hilariously real and candid with us. Due to an injury, Jonathan Knight had to sit out the interview and the night's performance.

Joey: You know the Ken dolls were one thing, because that’s kind of like an iconic thing, and also tough to swallow at times, but those I know we weren’t very fond of.

Danny: Those ones look like they’ll murder each one of us.

Joey: Voodoo dolls.

Jordan: Yeah, or someone could do voodoo on us.

6. Sleeping Bag

Joey: No shit, the first time I ever went camping, I brought that as my sleeping bag.

Jordan: If you get lost in the wilderness, the helicopters can see you.

Donnie: It’s warm. It’s all illegal synthetic products that should’ve been banned because they destroy the environment.

7. Board Game

Joey: Oh, that’s too bad, I don’t know if I’ve ever actually seen that before.

Danny: I have.

Donnie: I think I played it once.

Joey: Instead of Chutes n Ladders, it’d be what?

Donnie: Poop? And your bladders?

Joey: Poops n Bladders.

9. Fan Letters

Joey: What did we say that we didn’t do?

Danny: What did we say that our parents wrote?

BuzzFeed: [reading] “It’s great being out on the road. We get to go to all kinds of new paces and we meet lots of nice people. It’s a lot of fun, but sometimes, like when we are on the bus, and it’s late at night, it gets lonely. None of us has a girlfriend right now, but it sure would be nice to have a special girl to call and write and talk about what’s going on.”

10. Animated TV Show

Jordan: Saw it once.

Danny: It was animated.

Jordan: And colorful.

BuzzFeed: You didn’t voice these characters, did you?

Jordan: No, that was worst.

Donnie: We didn’t voice our own records, how could we voice a cartoon? [Laughs] That was a fucking joke.

11. Merry, Merry Christmas Album

Danny: It’s hard to block out an album cover. It’s different when it’s a section of a store or whatever, but the album cover is hard to block out.

Joey: I remember distinctly the guys saying, “That’s a piece of shit, I can’t believe that’s our album cover.” And I was still sweet and innocent, you know what I mean... well, not sweet and innocent, but I was still sad that they didn’t like it. I remember that. I was like, “But wait...” And they were like, “Nah, we’re sorry, you’ll see one day.”

BuzzFeed: It’s kind of like a Wham! cover.

Jordan: I think it’s worse than a Wham! cover.

Joey: I remember just giving them what they wanted that day because we wanted to get the hell out of there.

Donnie: I was caught off-guard on that one shot and they cut my head and put it on that. Cause I had a Red Sox jersey on. And they were like, “That ain’t Christmas” and I was like, “Yes [it is], it’s red.” I tried my best to hold out.

Danny: We were kinda told get on the sled or you’ll never make another record again.

Jordan: We were in a rush, we were on the road, we had to get it done. And that’s what happens.

Donnie: You know, your record cover – most of the other stuff, when you’re making a record for the first time, you don’t think “One day I’m gonna have my own sleeping bag!” But you do think, “I’m gonna have my own record.” At least you used to. And to see that record in the record store... well, it sold well. But it’s pretty gut-wrenching to look at.

Danny: Yes.

Donnie: But we’re happy with it now. Now we appreciate it. Now Joe, you were the right one. We look back on it and we say you know what Joe, it was a sweet, innocent album cover, we should’ve just went with it.

Joey: You went with it alright.

Donnie: Your innocence was pure and golden, Joe!
