As the crowd filed in, whispers of a special guest began to circulate through the venue. Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot started their set as if it was any other night. But the crowd was in for a big surprise.

Then the Piano Man himself emerged onto the stage.

Choosing to have a little fun with the surprise appearance, Joel, Mike and Big Shot started off by covering the Beatle's "With a Little Help From My Friends." They continued the set with The Rolling Stone's "Honky Tonk Women." Needless to say not a frown in the crowd.

Even though the crowd could listen to Billy Joel play for hours on end, Joel let Big Shot get back to headlining, but not before one last song. After performing hits from other artists, Joel finally ended the night with "You May Be Right."

The night was not nearly over and the crowd was re-energized and ready to party.

Mike DelGuidice will continue to perform at The Paramount, as he holds the venue close to his heart. Just three years prior, Mike was asked to be a part of Billy Joel's Band on that same stage. As for The Paramount, you never know who's going to walk out on stage.
