    8) And umm not to mention (drum roll please) Madagascar’s MELMAN.

    9) Miley Cyrus looks to giraffes for inspiration.

    10) Giraffes TOOK OVER Facebook last year thanks to some random riddle.

    11) Tanning in the pool is one of their fave hobbies.

    12) DirecTV miniaturized a giraffe for television.

    13) A giraffe licks the face of that redheaded Wendy’s girl but in a Best Buy commercial.

    14) Giraffes have their own wine. Need I say more?

    So, why are they dying? Are they attacking locals? Terrorizing villages? I mean, look at this evil menacing creature trying to eat this girl’s face...

    Reticulated giraffes in Africa have seen an 80% decline in their population in the last 10 years due to poaching and habitat loss. That’s EIGHT ZERO PERCENT.
