"Love Island's" Sexiest Challenge Yet Had All Our Hearts Racing, So I Ranked Every Version From Past Seasons To Now

From Megan Barton-Hanson to Curtis Pritchard.

If you haven't watched this year's islanders get down and dirty during the heart rate challenge, then you better because this was one of the best iterations by far!

For those who aren't familiar with this classic Love Island challenge, basically the islanders are tasked with performing sexy stripteases for one another to see who's hot for who. Then the results are revealed at the end, usually leading to dramz.

It's definitely one of my favourite challenges, so I've decided to rank 21 of the most unforgettable performances throughout the seasons!

21. Charlie Radnedge – 2022

During this performance I experienced a true range of emotions. One minute I was in a fit of giggles; the next I was going through the worst secondhand embarrassment of my life. Charlie was sauceless in this challenge, but at least he tried!

20. Alex George – 2018

Whoever told Alex that pouting like that was sexy needs to be behind bars cos I was trying to find the remote as quickly as possible to save myself from watching! (Sorry, Alex.) It's clear this man doesn't have any rhythm in his bones, but I have to applaud him for going out there and giving it a go.

19. Jordan Hames – 2019

I found this performance funnier than it should've been just because of Anna's confusion over Moby Dick. I might be slow, but I don't see how him asking her what her favourite novel was worked in this moment. Anyone?

18. Mary Bedford – 2021

I think I speak for many of us when I say that Mary really worked with what she was given here, because WHAT kind of costume is this? Whilst the other girls were given sexy outfits, Mary was left with what looked like a fancy dress costume. I'm happy she got through it so she was done dirty IMO!

17. Liberty Poole – 2021

Liberty's performance was just cuteness overload! She looked so innocent in her cowgirl outfit. You could tell that she was nervous, but she went out in style.

16. Tyler Cruickshank – 2021

Where do I start with this performance? First of all, Tyler's shorts were wayyy too short. Secondly, did he have to grind his crotch into poor Chloe's face like that? I can't lie though, I was cracking up through it all, especially when he picked up Kaz.

15. Mike Boateng – 2020

Even though my eyes weren't ready, Mike put in one hell of a performance. He twerked his way to the end, so I have to give him credit for that!

14. Chris Taylor – 2019

Chris was one of my absolute favourites – I loved how he was naturally funny and unapologetic. No one else could start their performance with a forward roll, and just because it wasn't the sexiest doesn't mean it didn't make my night!

13. Tasha Ghouri – 2022

I know Tasha's performance wasn't bad, but I expected more given that she's a dancer. All I saw was hair whipping – nothing particularly wowed me except for her coming out of the 3D Barbie box.

12. Paige Thorne – 2022

I'm sorry, but Paige's body?! The way she came out with that silver wig and that swimsuit should be a CRIME. I was left surprised because I didn't expect her to come out with such confidence, and I honestly thought she and Jacques were gonna get down and dirty right there and then.

11. Jake Cornish – 2021

This was another costume that had me wanting to call up the production team and ask them what the hell was going on! The islanders were confused, and most of the viewers at home had no words for this. Costume aside, Jake did surprise me, especially when he flipped Liberty over with ease. I think it's safe to say he was made for Dreamboys!

10. Wes Nelson –2018

I don't know where Wes learnt that hip thrusting movement from, but all I can say is it was ~giving~! I've never been so engrossed in a piece of television, and for him to only be 20 years old at the time, well, carrying that much sexy must be pretty hard.

9. Megan Barton-Hanson – 2018

Who wasn't crushing on Megan during this series of Love Island? I think girls, guys, and everyone in between were turned on by this performance; even former contestant Olivia Atwood said so on Twitter. She set plenty of pulses racing, and the guys couldn't stop saying, "Oh my god," the entire time.

8. Davide Sanclimenti – 2022

I had to hold my breath throughout Davide's performance cos I really wasn't sure how it was going to go. Suffice to say, I did not expect him to end it by kissing Danica's ass. There were a lot of gasps going on in my household!

7. Amber Rose Gill – 2019

Amber was my favourite contestant throughout Series 5. Nowadays, I enjoy her hilarious Love Island takes on Twitter, but I can't forget when she had the last laugh in this challenge. After her sexy lap dance with her ex, Michael, it turned out that she set his pulse racing more than his new girl, Joanna. THE DRAMA!!!

6. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – 2022

In the words of Murad Merali, "Ekin-Su will come through" – and she did just that in this performance! From the moment she stepped into the villa, I knew Ekin-Su would be a force to be reckoned with. She exudes confidence, and that kiss with Davide was the cherry on top of the cake!

5. Indiyah Polack – 2022

Indiyah's inches... Hello?! She looked phenomenal, and I particularly liked her performance because she teased the other boys and waited to give Dami the full meal. When she got on all fours and twerked in Dami's face, I couldn't help but scream at the top of my lungs, "Yes Indiyah!"

4. Maura Higgins – 2019

There's no denying that Maura is the true definition of a bombshell, but I didn't know she was capable of taking things up a notch in this sexy leather cat outfit. She DELIVERED, and made her feelings well known to Curtis with a steamy kiss.

3. Ovie Soko – 2019

Like Anna said at the time, "Ovie actually doesn't have to do anything; he can just stand there." Ovie was the sweet eye candy we all loved to see, and if your heart wasn't racing at this routine, you might have to check your vital signs cos WOW.

2. Danica Taylor – 2022

I had a lot of faith in Danica, and she didn't disappoint! She looked amazing from her glowing skin to her sexy dance moves – everything was a 10. Oh, and that split? Yeah, that part!

1. Curtis Pritchard – 2019

Now you know it would've been wrong if I didn't put Curtis's performance as my number one. Did you not see the way he came through shaking his hips? I was too stunned to speak! Even though I was left cringing a little (which I actually think is a crucial element of this challenge), it was one of my highlights from the whole series. It still honestly lives in my mind rent free today.
