I have written a poem describing why I dance.

Why I dance..?

Why I dance

I do it for me

It is what I love

It is a part of

Who I am

Why I dance

I do it for fun

It is what I love

One by one

It's like it becomes a part of me

Why I dance

Dancing makes me feel calm

With every move, every hand motion

My body slowly becomes one with the music

Why I dance

I do it for power

I can control myself

I sweat and never cower

If I fail I must learn to not accept

I will keep going forward

Why I dance

I do it for my mom

She has given me the chance

And uncle Javier

They love when I dance

I must make them proud

I won't cower

Why I dance

I do it to prepare for my future

Dance isn't just dancing

Dancing sends you a message

Dance prepares you for the worst

Why I dance

I do it for laughter

I do it for tears

I do it for hope

I am the dancer

I create my own fate
