14 Intense Social Advertisements That Focus On Children

Many social issues get tons of attention for various reasons. For example, anti-smoking campaigns get funding from related philanthropic organizations like Cancer related charities. But without people with money who care about an issue, social change, let alone social awareness, don't happen easily. Issues related to children seem to be at the bottom of that financing, which is a very big shame. But, beyond "children should represent children's issues", the way that those who do fund these campaigns go about it is very interesting and up for question.

I imagine that some of you are expecting me to share how these children were used in social advertisements and that is somehow a terrible thing and we should all be up in arms. But I'm not hear to preach, not today at least. I mean, Yes, I could go on about how the only reason these messages are being given so much attention is because of the children in them. I could add a bit about why using children in adds like these isn't the most tasteful way to go about social change. And to top it all off, I could go into a long rant about how "Stage Mom's" are terrifying creatures who should be considered for a special terror watch-list the government monitors.

But I'll spare you.

Instead I'll share with you some social advertisements that were featured in different parts of the world that put children in the focus of the frame. You be the judge if they are effective or not, and whether the use of children in them is acceptable, tasteful, etc.
