Interstellar's Miniature Fx Magicians Used Salt And Pelican Cases To Make Their Astounding Scenes

For the docking explosion, the miniature effects artists protected their film camera with a pelican case dubbed the 'Pelicam'. And they filmed the miniatures in one motion control pass rather than several as is the normal case.
