Anna Renee is the kind of artist who seems to come out of nowhere, and then is suddenly everywhere...or, she will be.
After finding success with her self-produced web series Destroy the Alpha Gammas (which she also starred in), Anna decided to further her creativity and venture into music. Though she's new at this and has an authentic, incredible voice—in both how and what she is saying—she isn't going alone. Right alongside her is Steve Mackie, a vocal coach who has helped countless contestants on The Voice make their mark. Mackie is steering Anna's already effortless vocals into Fiona Apple territory, which is making a comeback in the music world.
She has so far released a handful of impressive singles, such as "Battle Cry" and "Guilty", and she's not stopping anytime soon. New song "Sharks" is another sound to behold, the latest in a line of many, and adds to the list of reasons you should pay attention to this newcomer.
Her debut EP The Places You'll Go is out October 21st, and so far everything on it is a win. If you don't believe me, give it a listen for yourself.
