Arrest Warrant Issued for Lindsay Lohan

An arrest warrant has been issued against US actress Lindsay Lohan for driving under the influence in 2007, Beverly Hills police said Saturday, but her lawyer said the warrant stems from a "misunderstanding." According to officials, the warrant against the 22-year-old troubled star "stems from a May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI (driving under the influence) and hit-and-run." "The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Miss Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner," added police from the city west of Los Angeles. After a stay in rehab, she was caught two months later for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine.
