Share Your Experiences Of Disability Discrimination In The Workplace

Have you lost your job, been passed over for promotion, or failed to be hired due to a mental or physical disability? We want to hear your stories.

In the UK, it's unlawful to discriminate against employees because of a mental or physical disability, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

BBC News - Call to end workplace disability discrimination by employers https://t.co/29lKpIRtRk

Many people with a disability report that they've been dismissed from jobs or prevented from working, largely due to the fact employers aren't willing to make changes to the physical workspace, or to be more flexible with working practices.

Perhaps you've been discriminated against due to a long-term health condition, like HIV or cancer...

...or an employer failing to understand or make adjustments for periods of mental ill health.

Or has an employer failed to make adjustments that would make it easier to carry out your job?

#bbcdp Reasonable adjustments I worked at a school that removed the lowered reception desk for wheelchair users, A SCHOOL!!!
