10 Reasons To Be Excited For Season Five Of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

The trailer is out and the jury is in; this season is gonna be a doozy, and here's why.

1. Carlton and Joyce Are Gone

These two really didn't contribute much to the franchise at all. Joyce was essentially just a punching bag for Brandi, and Carlton's feud with Kyle was beyond boring, not to mention pretty one-sided (was anyone team Carlton?). Besides, there's only room for one Brit in Beverly Hills, and her name is Lisa Vanderpump.

2. Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna is quite literally in the business of drama. Rinna is a seasoned soap opera vet, so she knows how to bring the heat. In the season five trailer we see her throwing around the "A" word, which with these ladies, never goes over well.

3. Eileen Davidson

Like our other newbie, Eileen Davison is also a soap star, and that means drama. The trailer already revealed Brandi calling her a man stealer, not to mention it thoroughly convinced me Davidson is a nut job. Let's see if she can give Kim Richards a run for her money.

4. The Return of Adrienne Maloof

If you're like me, seeing Adrienne pop up in the season five trailer gave you life. We haven't seen her since she stole the show at Kyle's white party in season three, and then refused to come to the reunion as her "last act as a housewife." We can only hope that this appearance is just the beginning of Adrienne's return to the Bravo TV spotlight.

5. Other Old Friends

In addition to Adrienne, Camille Grammer and Taylor Armstrong have also been confirmed to be appearing this season. Both these ladies have had a lot on their plates in recent years; Taylor with her husbands death and financial troubles, and Camille with her long divorce, and battle with endometrial cancer. It will be nice to catch up, and hopefully see them back to their old selves this season.

6. No More "Dream Team"

I don't know about you, but I'm glad the "dream team" is over. This season gives Lisa the chance to make some new allies, and go about being her fab self without having to constantly defend Brandi's poor choices. In an ideal world, we would see the Lisa/Kyle friendship back together, but if that doesn't work out I'd settle for a Lisa/Lisa power duo.

7. PORTIA

Portia is becoming a diva. We knew it was coming from the moment we heard her imitate Lisa saying "dahling," but this season it looks like it's going to be part of Kyle's plot line. In Portia's own words, "hallelujah everyone!"

8. Amsterdam!

This season the girls are taking a trip to Holland with Yolanda. While we know Yolanda hates drunk women, that hasn't stopped Brandi from having a good ole time in the past, and in Amsterdam we can only assume we're in for some spectacular drunken shenanigans. Let's hope the new girls can hold their liquor.

9. Wine Throwing

We're used to seeing a little wine throwing action in some of the other Real Housewives cities, but never before have we seen the more ladylike Beverly Hills girls really get into it. Well, that is about to change. And not only are they throwing the wine, but the whole damn glass too!

10. Endless Excitement

Because you know what they show in the trailer isn't even the half of it.
