The Real ‘Injustice’ is The DLC

With all the hoopla surrounding Injustice: Gods Among Us we look at a tiny injustice (pun intended) towards the fine folks that purchased the superb fighter.

The Real ‘Injustice’ is The DLC

Look, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a great game. Myself – not being a fan of fighters – can sit and play that game for hours on end while most others I just get bored and chuck my controller at something living, like an unlucky friend that may have just beaten me on a lesser fighter.

Now, since being a fan of something means you'll bend over backwards for it, doesn't mean you should allow the fine folks at Netherrealm and DC to rake you over a tree trunk and treat you like Ned Beatty in Deliverance.

DLC is something that many gamers find to be excruciatingly annoying, or a necessity in moving their gaming experience to the next level. with offers of season passes, you usually can attain all the DLC your heart desires with a one-time fee.

'Injustice' does offer the aforementioned season pass DLC, but with one caveat, check it out:

•Season Pass: 1400 Microsoft points or $15, with this you'll get the Flashpoint skins for Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Deathstroke, as well as future characters and a skin pic from Zatanna.

•Batgirl and Lobo, will be included in the season pass, although you can just buy them each for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points. Lobo is already out, Batgirl's release date has yet to be announced.

•Then there's the pre-order exclusive alternate skins DLC: The Red Son pack from GameStop, The Arkham City pack from Wal Mart and the Blackest Night pack that has very little details but seems to turn the characters into zombies. Because everything has to be zombies.

•Then, and this is where my problem comes from, there's the Teen Titans, Bad Girls and Killing Joke alternate skin packs DLC. These each, will cost either $2.99 or 200 Microsoft Points to download. They will not be apart of the season pass. Why? cause screw you, that's why.

This makes no sense. You give us Lobo for free essentially if we get the pass, you give us Aquaman's, Deathstroke's and Wonder Woman's alternate costumes from Flashpoint, hell, you even give us Batgirl for free, whenever the hell she drops. But when it comes to the Bad Girls pack (which should've been the Gotham City Sirens), the BS Teen Titans and skins of the Joker that include him in vacation clothes and, rumor has it, the Red Hood, we have to shell out either 600 extra Microsoft Points or $9 on top of the 1400MP or $15 we payed for the season pass? That seems like highway robbery Mad Max style. And no less, in a game where character content and the amount of different characters you can use is essential to its very being. For lack of a better phrase, this is a true "Injustice" – I'm sorry, I'll just see myself out the back door.
