The incarnations of everyone's favourite time traveling doctor are ranked. Who is your favourite Doctor who?

11. The Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston)

The Ninth incarnation of the Doctor. The first of the "New School" Doctors. Eccleston, had a background as more of a serious drama actor. Sometimes the humorous moments seemed a bit forced with him. Also, he was the least interestingly dressed Doctor of all time. Eccleston left after only one season due to "creative differences" with the producers.

10. The Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker)

The Sixth incarnation of the Doctor. With a huge ego (even for the Doctors standards) the Doctor would almost be belittling at times. Of course like always this Doctor had his tender moments toward others. It is said that Baker requested an all black outfit. The producers decided to dress Baker as a color blind circus clown.

9. The Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison)

The Fifth incarnation of the Doctor was the first of the "young" Doctors. Perhaps the most "Human" of the Doctors incarnations. Davison was an amazing actor, with incredible range. His portrayal of the Doctor was like a big brother or cool uncle that will buy you beer when your underage. He would dress as a preppy cricket player for some reason.

8. The Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy)

The Seventh incarnation of the Doctor. This Doctor started off as a goofball. By the time his run came to an end he was more of a mastermind. Outwitting his opponents in complicated plots. Though perhaps the most criticized representation of the Doctor in history. As time passes, McCoy's Doctor seems to be more and more beloved.

7. The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann)

The Eighth incarnation of the Doctor. Mcgann is often regulated to last place and disqualified from being ranked any higher; this version of the Doctor had the least amount of on screen minutes and least amount of television appearances of any other. Though he was truly awesome and remembered despite his small amount of TV time. Eccentric, outgoing, unique, and full of personality quirks, just the way we love our Doctors. Plus, what an awesome look for the Doctor, the eyes, the hair and whatever is around his neck. I don't know if that is a neckerchief or an ascot

6. The First Doctor (William Hartnell)

The first pilot of the TARDIS, Hartnell helped introduce the basic concepts of our beloved Doctor. At first this doctor portrayed a grumpy old man. Like your High School chemistry teacher that made you feel dumb. Like a teacher with no patience. He eventually evolved into that wonderful grandpa that everyone loves.

5. The Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton)

The Second incarnation of the Doctor. More importantly he was the first regeneration of the Doctor. The success of this Doctor is definitely a fixed moment in time. Much more playful than his predecessor. Cosmic hobo on the outside, genius on the inside. This Doctor had the honor of introducing the Sonic Screwdriver. He set the tone and raised the bar for the future travels of the TARDIS. Troughton's Doctor is perhaps the most lovable.

4. The Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee)

The Third incarnation of the Doctor. No other Doctor has Judo-chopped as many enemies as this one. Because of budgetary issues, this Doctor was first grounded on Earth as a scientific adviser to a paramilitary group that dealt with the supernatural. Pertwee was a swash buckling Doctor, part James Bond, Part Captain Picard. He was known for driving a wide variety of street and air vehicles, including a hovercraft known as the Who-mobile. At first his show was more of a mystery spy drama. Eventually the good Doctor's producers increased the budget. His space and time accessibility returned and he jumped in the TARDIS and eagerly continued his adventures.

3. The Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)

In the Doctors 10th incarnation, Tennant helped bring the series back to the international stage. A very popular Doctor with an awesome sense of style. You have to love a Doctor that sports a pair of chucks. Although arguably the darkest and vindictive Doctor. Tennant did a great job of being that dark character with many levels that everyone loves. Tennant might be the most talented actor to portray the Doctor ever. As well as winning the Time Lord "Baby Face of Eternity" Award.

2. The Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith)

The Eleventh incarnation of the Doctor. The latest regeneration of our favorite Time Lord. The reach of this Doctor is perhaps bigger than any before. This Doctor Who has had the support of a great writing and producing team. His adventures work well as single shot episodes, though to truly understand the world of Doctor Who, watching every episode in "Chronological" order is best. I challenge you to count and keep track of how many Bow-Tie, Suspenders, and Sonic Screwdriver ensembles you see at Comic-Con 2014.

1. The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)

No Doctor had more air time than Tom Baker's Doctor. No one banked more on air time as the Doctor. Baker appeared in over 170 episodes as the good Doctor. This Doctor became an instant sensation.With that ridiculously long colorful scarf. He also had the biggest love for "Jelly Babies" in the universe.
