    Relax! You're Not Alone: Shopping At Kohl's

    Here are 10 ways (I think we can all agree on) shopping at Kohl's can be improved.

    1.

    Hire More Cashiers: Instead of calling up sales associates up from the sales floor to ring and making the customers wait longer, hire more cashiers. The sales associates and department supervisors will thank you because they can actually get their work done.

    2.

    Don't Exclude Specific Brands and Items on Your Coupons: If you wish to stay competitive, let the customer use their coupon on anything they want in the store. The #1 reason people don't shop Macy's anymore is because their coupons have too many exclusions.

    3.

    Stop Pushing Customers to Open a Kohl's Charge Card: It's one thing to offer and explain the benefits of the card. It's a whole other thing when you keep pushing customers to open the card through the entire transaction after they have politely said no thank you the first time you asked.

    4.

    Cleaner Fitting Rooms: It would be great to have fitting room attendants to control what goes into the fitting room, which helps to prevent theft, and the amount of items you can bring in. Limit 10-15 items.

    5.

    Larger Allowance of Shopping Carts: Stores with higher than average traffic volume should be allowed a larger allowance of shopping carts. Having more carts will allow people to buy more on those busy sales days when it seems like everyone and their brother is there shopping.

    6.

    Updated/Better Music Soundtrack: Please get a more updated, better and more various selection of music to play in the store. Hearing the same songs over and over gets old after awhile.

    7.

    No More Loud Speaker Calls: Use walkie talkies with ear pieces instead of calling over the loud speaker for all requests like additional cashiers to the front or for help from a manager. It would make the shopping experience more enjoyable if we could shop without loud speaker announcements.

    8.

    Kohl's Charge Card Announcements: Stop announcing over the loud speaker how many credit cards you have opened or need to open. We, the customers, don't care about that and don't wish to hear that as we are shopping.

    9.

    Longer Redemption Period for Kohl's Cash: I've heard this request from several people throughout the years. Customers would like to have a longer redemption period for Kohl's Cash. I think you would make more money. If people can't make it by the date, they give it away or throw it away. Especially now since expired Kohl's Cash isn't accepted anymore.

    10.

    Hire a 2nd Department Supervisor for Each Department: One Department Supervisor is not enough for all the projects and responsibilities that come with this job title. The customers will thank you too because there will be another person on the sales floor to assist them in finding the item they came for.
