1. I have a passion for social justice issues and communicating their importance to the world in effective and creative ways.
2. I am that person who will always look up the answer to serious problems at hand such as, “Who invented deviled eggs?” and “Who is Maurice Micklewhite?”
3. I have experience in traditional print papers and have also developed my own blogs inspired by my love of health and beauty products.
4. I obsessively use social media like Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Tumblr, and more to learn what the world is talking about.
5. I don’t have any guilty pleasures because I believe people should feel unashamed about their interests. Thus I have no problem saying I regularly watch Teen Wolf and think that Kim Kardashian is a legitimate feminist icon.
6. I love cats of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and hair lengths, so I would be a perfect contributor to the newsletter “This Week in Cats”.
7. I know the answers to lots of important Harry Potter questions such as: Where can one find a bezoar? Who was really the most powerful Occlumens in Hogwarts history? Why shouldn’t you underestimate a Hufflepuff?
8. I used to work in a library, so in addition to loving stories of all kinds, I’m meticulously organized and detail oriented.
9. I regularly find myself thrown into what I call “Knowledge Spirals”....
10. In short, BuzzFeed is the perfect fit for me, and I believe I am a perfect fit for it. Like Grumpy Cat and Lil Bub, Kenan and Kel, pizza and beer, and many other iconic couples.
