I've gotten many of my baby's basics from Target (plain layering pieces, diapers, etc) but also a ton of adorable decorations for his nursery, outfits, books, toys, and more. You can't go wrong with Target!
Items we love: tufted storage bin for $29.99 and a fitted jungle print crib sheet for $9.99.
Why they're great: My husband and I splurged on our baby's crib and dresser from Pottery Barn Kids and have been thrilled with how stable, durable, and beautiful it is. On top of reliable furniture, Pottery Barn Kids is great for finding special accents for your little one's room at a quality you can definitely trust. They have so many great pieces like blankets, sheets, mobiles, and more. Don't even get me started on the hooded towels!!!
Items we love: a super soft animal baby hooded towel and washcloth set for $49 (available in three styles) and a felted pink rose musical crib mobile for $79.
Why they're great: Old Navy always has *tons* of sales, making sure shopping there always feels like you've gotten a great deal. You can snag tons of clothing for your kiddo (lots of bundled options!) while also throwing a few necessities into your cart for you as well.

Why they're great: While you can, of course, buy Skip Hop products from an array of other places you're most likely to find whatever you're looking for directly from their site. They're a big fan favorite amongst parents and I definitely had *tons* of their products on my baby registry. Now that my son is here, he loves his Skip Hop items! He was obsessed with his activity gym and his whale-shaped tub was simple to use and made bath time super fun. I personally love that they turn essential baby products into ones you won't mind displaying in your home.
Items we love: Farmstand Grow and Play Activity Gym for $72.25 and a Moby Smart Sling 3-Stage Tub for $36 (available in two colors).
Why they're great: Coco Village is a small business founded by actual parents that have a goal of providing families with premium-quality toys. A lot of their toys are made of wood, which is refreshing in comparison to all of the plastic-filled options that typically fill kid's toy boxes. Millennial parents won't think twice about ordering from this delightful shop.
Items we love: a reversible play mat for $149.99 and silicone stacking rings for $29.99.
Why they're great: In addition to practical products and necessities you know your baby will need, you can also find tons of cute hidden gems on Buy Buy Baby (and likely find a coupon to get a discount!).
Items we love: a four pack of aden + anais swaddle blankets for $31.99 and a Skip Hop avocado stroller toy for $9.99.

Why they're great: You can do all kinds of shopping in one place while also finding unique items you might not stumble upon from bigger name brands. Mori has lots of cute outfit options for babies from birth through six years old, items for pregnant and postpartum moms, tons of toys and books, and personalized gifts!
Items we love: a wooden animal pull toy for $24 and a knitted striped sweater for $49.50 (available in sizes 3M–24M and 2Y–5Y).
Why they're great: In addition to the beloved DockATot+ lounger, they also sell a cabana kit for parents who want to take their DockATot outdoors (available for $65 and in four styles), an array of toy arches and toys you can attach for even more fun, and a travel bag (available for $90) for when you and tyke are on-the-go. I'm personally a huge fan of the product — It’s super cozy, comes in SO many cover patterns, and is easy to clean (essential since babies are forever peeing and spitting up on everything). Toss the cover in the wash and let it air dry — simple enough. It was Noah’s favorite place to snuggle for the first three months of his life.
Items we love: the DockATot+ for $205 (available in 30 styles and two sizes).
Why they're great: Ruggable's rugs are honestly a work of art — not just because they look great regardless of what room you put them in, but because they can handle a stain like no other. I have a Mickey Mouse rug (seen above to the left) in my baby's room, but my sister (who has three big dogs) has truly put the quality of their rugs to the test. Within a week of owning one she successfully cleaned blood, poop, and coffee off of it without a remnant of a stain left behind. Now *that* is an essential for your kiddo's room.
Items we love: Mickey Polka Dots rug for $99+ (available in 10 sizes and 3 styles) and the Unicorn Jamboree rug for $89+ (available 10 sizes and 2 styles).
Why they're great: Feetje is a small business based in Holland that has been up and running for 40 years! I personally love that they have an entire "Baby's First" collection that makes shopping for new babies super simple.
Items we love: pull-on jeans for $20 (available in sizes 3M–24M) and a reversible jacket for $40 (available in sizes 3M–12M).
Why they're great: Lucy Darling gets a 10/10 from me when it comes to gifting other people baby gifts. I've shopped from here personally for others and received items as presents for my little one — I've yet to be disappointed. Their products are high quality and have a little extra something-something to 'em that the baby items stocked in big box stores simply don't have. Their baby blankets are also the softest I have literally ever felt (I wish they made them in adult sizes!). Added bonus? I've washed it after it got dirty at a pumpkin patch and it still feels just as soft after a run in the dryer.
Items we love: Little Dreamer Organic Blanket for $93.99 and a Little Beach Babe Memory Baby Book for $38.99.
Why they're great: Anything from this brand would make for a beautiful gift! I've received both a knit sweater and a cashmere set for my kiddo and plan to put him in it for special occasions. The items are unbelievably soft and I love that they're gender-neutral so I can hold onto them for my next baby someday. Added bonus? You can order yourself a stunning outfit as well at the same time!
Items we love: the fisherman sweater for $49.90 (available in sizes 3M–24M and two colors) and the hooded cardigan for $49.90 (available in sizes 3M–24M and three colors).
Why they're great: All of Lalo's products are thoughtfully designed to be functional without being over the top — because, honestly, babies and their parents just need basics that happen to also look nice. They use non-toxic materials so you won't have to worry about how frequently these items go into your kiddos mouths.
Items we love: the First Bites full kit for $68 (available in five colors) and the Play Gym for $115 (available in four colors and with or without a tent).
Why they're great: Little Bipsy is a woman-owned small business! The style of its clothing is simple but so stylish — especially for boys, which I can confirm is VERY hard to find! I've received a few sweat sets for my kiddo and they are simply adorable. I love that a lot of the items come in neutrals and can be mixed and matched with other clothes my son already has in his wardrobe. I can see shopping from this brand for a loooong time.
Items we love: a spiced cider pullover for $26 (available in sizes 0–12M), the coordinating pants for $26 (available in sizes 0–12M), and a hooded flannel for $32 (available in sizes 0–24M, 2–10, and two styles).
Why they're great: I got these for my baby's closet after realizing I had stocked up on a variety of sizes. They were super easy to clip over the bar in the closet and now I can easily see which clothes are newborn-sized versus which are zero to three months. I went with a neutral theme so they can be passed down to someone else or used with my next kiddo, but there are *tons* to choose from! Carrie Dee is a small business based in Syracuse, NY that sells nursery closet dividers.
Items we love: the grey stars nursery closet dividers for $7.95+ (available in five sets) and all the other closet divider options in various themes.
Why they're great: I mean, Disney!!! shopDisney has an endless supply of adorable baby outfits, nursery decor, stuffed animals, toys, etc. You won't even have to wish upon a star for them!
Items we love: a wooden Mickey Mouse train set for $39.99 and a Winnie the Pooh gift set for $49.99 (available in sizes 3M–18M).
Why they're great: Sustainability is super important to Tender Leaf Toys, a small business that crafts wooden toys for little ones. They only work with reclaimed rubberwood in order to protect Indonesia's natural resources and for every reclaimed tree, they use they plant a new one! Additionally, their dollhouses are absolutely to die for.
Items we love: a London twisted toy for $12.99 and a Rainbow Tunnel toy for $27.99.
Why they're great: My baby's room is rather small, so we decided we'd like to put the rocking chair in our room instead. I wanted a chair that would look stylish with our other furniture while also providing the soothing movements Baby will need to fall back asleep — this fabulous option checked all of the boxes! My husband particularly loves that it has felt on the bottom to protect our new floors. Wayfair, in general, is fantastic when it comes to shipping, refunds, and finding basically any baby furniture you may need to complete the nursery.
Items we love: Delta Children's Ella Rocker for $449.99 (available in three colors)
Why they're great: Mana Crafting is a small business based in Toronto, Canada that sells handmade nursery decor. Their products are of great quality and are a nice option for anyone who wants a cute mobile without all the bells and whistles some other brands try to push.
Items we love: the moon and stars felt mobile for $28.86+ (also available in pink and with or without matching garland).
Why they're great: BFFs and Babes is a woman-owned small business that sells customized apparel for both adults and kiddos. My son Noah was teeny tiny when he was born and mostly fit only in preemie-sized clothes. Luckily for me, I had received some samples of custom-made goodies for him from BFFs and Babes that fit him perfectly! He basically lived in them for his first month of life. Despite being tie-dyed and washed TONS of times (babies are pretty gross) the colors never ran and stayed just as bright as when I first received them!
Items we love: a personalized long sleeve tie dye bodysuit for $22+ (available in sizes newborn–18M) and check out all of their baby products here.
Why they're great: Janie and Jack is reliable for ensuring your tyke has a higher-end outfit ready to go for special occasions. They definitely have more of a preppy vibe and you can literally feel how well these tiny outfits are made. I've snagged a few sweaters for my little one and they are simply wonderful.
Items we love: a corduroy trucker jacket for $43.99 (available in sizes 6M–24M, 2T, and 3–20), a bow collar body suit for $25.60 (available in sizes 3M–24M).
Why they're great: In addition to the patterns on these PJs being absolutely precious, they're made of a material that ensures they should fit up to three times longer than typical baby zip-ups! I wish I had stumbled upon them BEFORE I ordered my kid six more pairs of size-appropriate jammies. They also feature a double zipper, which any parent will tell you is an absolute must for any pajamas.
Items we love: the green sloth zippy pajamas for $34 (available in sizes preemie–24M and 2T–3T) and the Buzz Lightyear sleepy bag for $64 (available in sizes 0–36 months and three weights).
Why they're great: I recently received a super cute package from Hello Bello (Kristen Bell's brand) featuring candy corn-printed diapers for Halloween — and, yes, they are absolutely as cute as they sound! I love a good theme so right off the bat I was tickled to put Noah's lil' booty into diapers that were appropriate for spooky season (and who could blame me?). However, I'd be remiss to say the best part is that the Hello Bello diapers actually do what they're supposed to — hold in pee and poop! While I appreciate the adorable themes and patterns Hello Bello offers, I'm happiest when I don't have to change my son's outfit five times a day because of pee gone awry. I'm even happier to report there was one day he pooped A LOOOOOT (how does so much come out of such a tiny body????) and there were absolutely no leaks through the diaper — not a single blowout has been had. At the end of the day, that's what really matters.
Items we love: the diaper bundle for $69.99 (available in sizes newborn–6, comes with 224 diapers, seven different styles per bundle with 24 to choose from, four packs of wipes, and a free item of your choosing)
Why they're great: Aside from all of the gorgeous jewelry BaubleBar makes they've also forayed into customized kid's blankets! I got one for my bestie and her baby girl (Lianna) and they use it to ensure she's nice 'n' cozy during walks outside. I have a similar one in an animal print for my son Noah that I use for the same purpose — it's adorable!
Items we love: Wild at Heart kids' blanket for $78 and the entire customizable blanket collection.
Why they're great: They're Gerber! Doesn't everyone want their baby to be a Gerber Baby? Regardless, this is THE place to buy an arsenal of white body suits in all sizes. And while you're doing that you might as well throw some of their cuter styles in your cart as well! They've also recently debuted a "softest edit" collection of SUPER soft items your kiddo will love feeling against their skin.
Items we love: a zip-front sweater for $19.95 (available in sizes 12M–24M, 2T–5T, and three colors) and a three-piece top, tutu, and leggings set for $14.35 (available in sizes newborn–24M, 2T–5T, and seven styles).
Why they're great: They ship VERY fast — I've received items so quickly I had to stop and think about when I placed my order. The sizing runs a bit big, which is fine as it'll last kiddos a touch longer than some other brands. Additionally, the designs are just so fun and chic — they even have a selection of matching options for adults/kids! You won't be able to stop snapping pics of your kiddo in their new threads.
Items we love: the Yin and Yang tracksuit for $24.95 (available in sizes 6–24M and 2T–5T) and the Baby Bear Polo denim romper for $29.95 (available in sizes 3–24M).
Why they're great: Little Crowns and Capes is a woman-owned small business that sells precious swaddle blankets, crib sheets, and sleepers in fairytale-inspired themes. I purchased their Lord of the Rings–inspired one (which is sadly sold out right now) as a gift for my husband before Noah was born and fell in love. I've since sent them as gifts and cannot wait to buy more as they come out with more styles! The blankets are so cute and make for great photo backgrounds!
Additionally, the also have pajamas for bigger kids so all your little ones can happily match!
Items we love: The Office swaddle blanket for $25 and the Silly Ole Bear bamboo sleeper for $32 (available in sizes newborn–24M and 2T).
Why they're great: They have so many cute styles of bibs you won't know where to start! My son has two of the Zelda one — it comes with a cape I might just repurpose for Halloween! They're effective, easy to clean (you can pop 'em into the washer and dryer), and have great collabs with popular brands like Disney, Harry Potter, Nintendo, Sanrio, and DC Comics.
Items we love: a Legend of Zelda bib for $10.95 and a sleeved Hogwarts for $14.95.
Why they're great: They have fantastic options for a reasonable price including trendy clothes you'd likely wear yourself, Disney items, band tees, and basics. They also now have an "Edited" section where you can create your own design on a basic sweatshirt or zip-up — so fun and will make for adorable gifts!
Items we love: a Lion King hoodie for $32.90 (available in sizes 9M–24M and 2Y–5Y) and a structured floral shirt for $17.90 (available in sizes 1M–12M).
Why they're great: Diaper Book Club is a small business that sells crocheted versions of popular sneakers as well as fun board books and niche merch for parents. I received a pair of sneakers and a book as a gift for Noah from one of my coworkers (hi, Kayla Boyd!) and the quality was a 10/10. I took tons of pictures of him in his lil' shoes and loved that they were super easy to slip on (whereas real sneakers for babies are a hassle and a half). My husband is planning to get Noah more books for the holidays!
Items we love: J-1 Crochet Baby Shoes for $24.99 (available in sizes 3M–12M) and "R is for Rolex" for $16.99.
Why they're great: They are *ALL OVER* TikTok so you'll eventually be brainwashed into buying something, sorry. They really do live up to the hype — they are extremely soft and stretchy so they're easy to get squirmy babies into (mine included) and will fit them well beyond the size you initially purchase.
Items we love: the sleep bag for $50 (available in sizes S–L and 47 styles) and the zippered footie for $33 (available in sizes preemie–24M and 52 styles).
Why they're great: You can count on them to dress your entire family in pajamas for the holidays — which will look oh-so-cute on Christmas morning! The quality is also fantastic (I have a pair from holidays past, and Taylor Swift and her faux family wear them in her "Lover" music video!). And little one can also absolutely wear these jammies all winter. Sounds like a no-brainer shopping experience to me.
Items we love: a Baby Gnome Hoodie Sweater Jacket for $43.20 (available in sizes 3M–24M, 2–3, and four styles) and Polar Express pajamas for $27.60 (available in sizes 3M–24M and 2–3).
