    1. Waterproof playing cards, so you can get a fierce game of Go Fish going without fear of the moment your kids inevitably spill their drink all over the table.

Promising review: "These playing cards are a HIT. I take them out with me for social events and when visiting people, even to the beach. We just play and play. So you can get them wet and they won't soggy up and tear it just become a little hard to shuffle. It is so cool that they look like you can see right straight through them but you can't." —Tabitha

    2. Don't Step In It will have your entire family giggling as you take turns, blindfolded, walking across the mat and try not to step in artificial (but still pretty gross) poop. Anyone with toilet humor NEEDS this game.

Promising review: "My 3-year-old begged me to get the game and she loves it. She laughs every time we are setting up. The process of making the poop tickles her funny bone. This game is fun for the player and those watching. The 'poo' does not dry out easily either. My daughter left it out for a day and we still was able to mold it to a poop. The blind fold is kind of see through but it's not needed. Easy to set up" —Lucie

Get it from Walmart for $19.82.

    3. Spikeball, an easy-to-transport game that is kinda like volleyball and will have your friends asking you to bring it on every beach trip., Amazon

My friends are OBSESSED with Spikeball. While I'm not super coordinated and prefer to be a cheerleader (I'm accident-prone, OK!), this game is one of the most fun beach activities I've seen in a minute. It has been described as "if volleyball and foursquare had a baby" and can be played in a variety of ways.

Promising review: "This is a great beach game. Its simplicity as a spin on volleyball will have you and your friends be the envy of the beach. On multiple occasions I was asked where I bought this game. Great fun, and a great product. Assembly was simple enough. It's just plastic clips and then finding a way to get the net tight enough onto the hoop. You might think it isn't springy enough but it will be. Remember... This isn't a trampoline!" —Btschultz

Get it from Amazon for $59.99.

    4. An ultimate game of Twister to use with your Alexa for a seriously upgraded version of the classic game your family has been playing forever. Time to practice that right-hand-blue manuever you always get out on.

Promising review: "The kids have had lots of fun with this game. We used it for a birthday party. It is holding up very well. I love how it is a double board so more kids can play at a time, or you can play with a twist and fold under some of the dots to make it more challenging. Fun game, good quality. It is keeping the kids a little more active than watching TV or playing on electronics!" —Two Girls of Mine

We wanted a new beach activity for the grandkids that is fun and easy to play and this is a winner!!! We already haul a lot of chairs and rafts etc. to the beach and this set is lightweight and very portable in its own draw string bag. This game set will last for years and will be fun for everyone!" —Gary P. Crispens

    8. A set of massive bubble wands, so enchanting even the angstiest of teens won't be able to resist giving them a go., Amazon

The set also comes with instructions on how to make the BIGGEST bubbles possible!

Promising review: "The wand is awesome, but even MORE awesome is that I just used regular Super Miracle Bubbles bubble solution (way cheaper, found anywhere) and it worked just as well. Maybe better. Some people in reviews have said that you must use the packets that come with the wand, but I gave it a shot anyway with regular bubbles (Super Miracle Bubbles) and it worked just fine, with no noticeable difference." —Lauri

Get it from Amazon for $14.95.

    9. Or a ladder toss set that'll surprisingly bring out your most competitive side — try not to make any kids cry, OK?, Amazon

Promising review: "This was bought for my boyfriend's birthday, and it's exactly what we wanted! Very sturdy and easy to construct/take apart. Perfect for play in the yard or at the beach. The plastic frame is very thick and is very sturdy. The carrying bag seems to be well constructed as well and makes transport so much easier. We love going to the beach and this was the perfect addition to our collection of beach games." —Ciara

Get it from Amazon for $37.49.

    10. A glow-in-the-dark Capture the Flag set to bring back fond memories of your own childhood. It comes with team bracelets, glowing flags, jail markers, and territory lights. Get ready to be the most popular house on the block., Amazon

Promising review: "The game comes with very easy, animated directions and we were surprised at the high quality of the components. We first tried playing on a camping trip with three families and it only took a couple minutes to learn the game and set it up before we were giggling like crazy people. It was really dark and the blinking lights and glowing orbs added a lot to the excitement. We played with adults, teens and young children and everyone really got into it because there is something that everyone can do. My children have been asking to play it every night since." —Roy Jones

Get it from Amazon for $59.90.

    11. A frisbee with over 1.4K positive reviews on Amazon, so you know it's a guaranteed good time.

Promising review: "These are made of lightweight plastic, not the heavy thick type I was expecting. However don't be fooled. They are AWESOME! They fly straight and far. THESE ALSO FLOAT. I bought them to take to the beach. Someone else at the beach warned us as we played frisbee that they had lost theirs in the ocean. Ours floated though so we had no problems. We even started a new game where we threw it into the surf and then tried to be the first one to find where it washed up. I would recommend these for any type of frisbee play but especially if you are taking them on a water vacation." —Julie Barker

Get a two pack from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in seven color pairings).

    12. Or Kan Jam, an outdoor frisbee toss game that'll start as a casual game of catch and most likely evolve into a SUPER competitive battle for greatness.

This is another game my friends have been playing at the beach since we were in high school — it's always been a big hit. The rules are quite simple: break into two pairs but position yourselves across from one another. Then all you have to do is aim your frisbee toss at the "kan." If your teammate deflects the frisbee to hit the kan, you get one point. If the disc hits the kan on its own, that is two points. If your teammate taps the frisbee into the kan that's three points. If by some lucky chance you throw the disc RIGHT INTO THE SLOT, you win!

Promising review: "This is a ridiculously fun and easy lawn game. It's got the strategy of horseshoes with the fun of a team activity. The rules are simple, the equipment is made to last — if you are looking for a semi-active game to bring to the beach, family barbecue, or even company picnic, this is it!" —J. Caldwell

Get it from Amazon for $39.99+ (available in three styles).

    13. A nature scavenger hunt your entire family can team up and conquer — a must-have for your next camping trip. Select a random card from the deck and try to find it IRL, simple as that!

Promising review: "This was a great game and I can see it working both indoors and outdoors, if you can be creative! I did an outdoor game with a group of kids, in conjunction with a camera... I divided the group into three teams and set a timer on their tablets. They each had 10 cards and had to return after 20 minutes with photos for as many of the cards as they could get through. They all found a photo for each of their 10 cards! Then they showed the grown-ups, and we gave points for accuracy and creativity. I was worried they'd try to be lazy about fulfilling the criteria, but the kids got really creative with finding things!" —danielle317

Get it from Amazon for $12.50.

    14. A standard volleyball net you can use to make sure your entire fam can be included in the outdoor fun.

Promising review: "This was the perfect set for a beach trip! It's a relatively easy setup and has a tote bag to make it easy for transport. The net actually gets tight enough to play a ball off of it! For recreational volleyball this is perfect because it doesn't fall down like cheaper sets and it doesn't cost a fortune. I'm glad I didn't buy the $200 sets." —Kenton Bradford Duncan III

Get it from Amazon for $105.90.

    15. A supersized version of Connect Four that'll provide your squad with hours upon hours of simple fun in the sun. The only downfall is you might never want to play the regular version again!

Promising review: "Best purchase! We bought it for the kids but my husband and I stayed up until 1 a.m. playing!! It was a hit at our party! Great quality. Yes, you can hit the bar and release the discs, but it hasn't happened to us and wouldn't be a big deal if it did! Totally worth it! So glad we got it!!" —Rechel B

Get it from Amazon for $88.99.

    16. A ring toss set to help you all work on your hand-eye coordinator and encourage some ~friendly~ competition.

Promising review: "I was looking for a game for all ages when my kids and grandchildren come for dinner, for a visit or while I'm babysitting. Love the easy bag that holds everything and makes it easy to store. Adults and kids from 5–65 could enjoy a game outdoors, we even have played inside. I would definitely recommend. Quality is great." —JJ

Get it from Amazon for $21.99.

    17. Flickin' Chicken will have your family cackling from the first time you play. Players are encouraged to make up their own rules so you'll have a different experience every time. Boredom? I don't know her.

Promising review: "So yes, the chickens bounce everywhere. But that's what makes it fun! Get creative and put a hula hoop around the target to create levels of points awarded. It really is impossible to get the chicken on that small red target so make a wider range. These are fun on the lawn or in the pool. They float and you can try to toss them into donut-shaped pool floaties. These chickens are all-around fun to play with and you can make a game out of them so many ways. The kids played with the chickens for hours and adults have fun with them too." —E. Barnes

Get it from Amazon for $14.39.

    18. A reversible rug with checkers on one side and tic-tac-toe on the other, a must-have for any family who would rather exercise their brain muscles.

Promising review: "This is a standard item in our beach bag. Gives people a chance to interact, have fun, and take a break from the water. I like that it has three different games. Weight of items is good for outdoor use. They don’t blow away in windy weather." —Mickey

Get it from Amazon for $17.99.

    19. A jumbo set of tower blocks that, just like the ones you played with as a kid, will probs stress you out as you strategize and keep you entertained for an entire afternoon — only this time you'll get some fresh air while you're at it.

Promising review: "Purchased these for 'game nights' on the terrace during the summer and they were much more popular than i expected. These are solid and seem like they will last quite a while. Solid set and bag makes storing a breeze!" —Josh

Get them from Amazon for $78.99.

    20. Lawn darts your dad might be super enthused about because not only are they a fun way to spend time outdoors together, but they won't destroy his lawn in the process. Win-win!

And they glow in the dark!

Promising review: "This isn't the old fashioned lawn darts game that I was raised on but it is just as challenging if it is played on a lawn. The 'darts' are not darts at all but weighted missiles that have a tendency to bounce out of the target area so you need to really aim well and develop the correct technique for success. The pieces seem to be well made and they are safer to use around small children and pets than the old styled darts." —Amazon Customer

Get them from Amazon for $28.65.

    21. And Doody Head (yes, really) in which you'll put on a Velcro helmet and allow your family and friends to throw poop-shaped objects at you for points. Can you think of anything more enticing?!

Promising review: "Pretty sure i was drunk when I ordered this but it was the greatest laugh/surprise ever!! Definitely going to give this game to my very annoying 16-year-old nephew who thinks he knows everything for Christmas. Don't know who came up with the Doody Head Game but drunk me loved it and sober me is passing it on." —Megan

Get it from Amazon for $8.99.
