An artist who created a naked artwork of Donald Trump has been viciously assaulted by the presidential hopeful's loyal supporters, it has been alleged.
Los Angeles based Illma Gore posted a picture of herself sporting a black eye to her Facebook page yesterday afternoon, claiming to have been punched by a man who yelled "Trump 2016" before fleeing in a car.
The young artist found fame earlier this year after her painting 'Naked Donald Trump' went viral, resulting in a barrage of death threats from angry fans of the business tycoon. The controversial painting went on display in a London gallery this month, and currently boasts a whopping £1 million price tag.
Gore had just returned from her show in London and was moments from her home when the alleged attack took place, with Facebook having apparently revealed her address to an anonymous third party.
She told her legions of Facebook fans, "I am sad that this is the state of our America right now. I am sad that Trump, and many of his supporters, don't find words enough to express their opinions - they need walls, waterboarding and punches. Donald Trump, please stop glamorizing and perpetuating violence. Make America Decent Again!"
Despite filing a detailed police report, her attackers have not yet been found.
