Domestic Cats Are Just Like Big Cats

Ever wonder if the big cats of the wild - you know the Tigers, Lions and Leopards etc - are anything like your fluffy felines? Well, the answer to your question shall be answered. Let's just say that your cat is a miniature tiger.

Our miniature felines like to play with anything, and balls are certainly one of their favourite toys. The fun of chasing the rolling round object is something big cats like to do, such as this cheetah.

What about other things cats like to play with. Such as the BOX! da-da-da...

The box is probably the most loved toy for any cat. No matter what you have purchased, whether it be for them or not, they have their eyes set upon the box. Well, as this lion and these tigers suggest, the box is not only loved by our domestic cuties.

Though I'd imagine the fun of the box was torn apart a lot quicker than by our miniature felines.

Other things our domestic cats love to do is roll around and/or sleep on their backs and as it turns out so do big cats.

Here is an example of an ordinary cat rolling around and this leopard proves you don't have to be small to do the twist.

Even in hunting, we've all seen how our cute little furry friends crouch down low, slink towards their prey and do that booty wiggle before they pounce onto their prey.

Like this - well turns out their bigger counterparts do the same thing.

The cutest thing on the planet is watching two alpha cats fighting it out on the green stuff - probably better when they are kittens - but big cats fight with each other too.

Sometimes, they do cheap shots and bite at the tail.

Or sometimes, they feel the need to bite their own tails. Whether in a dream or just simply for the sake of doing so as these next two will demonstrate.

This leopard looks too amused with biting his own tail. Perhaps, he is too overwhelmed with how similar our cats and the big cats groom each other and themselves.

Safe to say that there is no behavioural difference between our domestic felines to the much bigger cats of the wild.
