What TV Pilot Has The Best Opening Scene Of All Time?

Nothing will ever beat the first five minutes of Lost.

Some shows take a while to get into, but other shows are incredible right from the get-go.

And I'm not just talking about the pilot — I'm talking about shows that hook you from the first five minutes.

BBC

Like Breaking Bad, which features a flash-forward to the end of the episode, when Walt thinks he's about to be caught cooking meth.

AMC

This isn't even my kind of show, yet I was hooked from the first few minutes. Honestly, it's one of the most effective openings to a show ever.

Or Lost, which features Jack waking up and stumbling back to the plane crash aftermath on the beach.

ABC

This is the only example I can think of better than Breaking Bad. Lost has the best opening of all time.

An even more recent example is the start of the first episode of The Boys, which features superhero A-Train literally running through Huey's girlfriend, Robin.

I wasn't really sure about this show, and then it started with something this messed up and intense, and I was hooked. 

Euphoria also has an incredible opening that shows Rue's journey into addiction super effectively.

HBO

Rue's narration, the flashbacks, the lighting, and the music are all incredible in these opening moments.
