Salutations! Now, you may or may not have heard of an app called TikTok. You also may or may not spend all your time on TikTok until you no longer know what day it is.
Now, I'm a new convert to TikTok. Lately I've been noticing some amazing videos that have the sole purpose of 👏👏GASSING👏👏 YOU👏👏 UP!! 👏👏
I don't know about you, but I needed that today.
Most of the videos feature one person talking to the camera as if it's the viewer, reminding you how amazing you are.
Taylor, 17, makes a lot of these videos. She told BuzzFeed, "When I make these videos, I make them from love. There is so much unexplainable joy and freedom that comes from loving yourself. I want everyone to have it."
...I'm not crying, you're crying.
Some contain full on speeches about how much you are going to absolutely slay the day in front of you.
These TikToks can even be a little...aggressive in reminding us of our worth.
Cole, a 19-year-old from Orlando, told BuzzFeed he makes these videos because he was tired of hearing family and friends talk down about themselves. "Everyone deserves happiness and some form of self love or at the very least self acceptance. There is a silver lining to everything and if I can help people see that then I've done my self created job." 😭😭
