The scenes with Sid and his toys MESSED ME UP as a child. I also remember being so scared when Buzz was strapped to the rocket.

After being accused of murder, a man is shunned by his friends, held captive in a horrifying torture dungeon, and forced to ignite dangerous explosives.

Ariel was... [not smart](https://www.buzzfeed.com/alexalvarez/what-a-dinglehopper), y'all. She really risked eternal torment/servitude for a MAN.

_The Little Mermaid_

I know I'm not really giving them enough credit here. They didn't know there was a curse — they were following their dad's instructions. But it's still true!

_Onward_

Two boys trigger a deadly curse when they try to use ancient magic for their own gain.

The scene where Dr. Facilier gets dragged away to the "other side" is by far the scariest scene in a Disney film.

_The Princess and the Frog_

A man accidentally involves an innocent woman in dark magic, forcing them to go on the run from demons in a monster-infested wood.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: _Finding Nemo_ is the first _Taken_.

This one might be a \*bit\* of a stretch — the family member lying to Lewis is Wilbur (his future son), and the best friend is his roommate in the orphanage, Goob, who ends up working with Lewis's invention Doris to enslave humanity in the future.

_Meet the Robinsons_

A boy realizes his family is lying to him and that his best friend is an evil man who plans to enslave humanity.

Either you haven't seen all of these movies, or you just don't like thinking of them as being so dark!

I'm sure you gave it your best shot...

Nice job! You clearly see the darker aspects of these movies, but maybe a few of these were a bit _too_ much of a stretch for you.
