This gorgeous, sprawling Mediterranean island is located just off the toe of Italy's boot. Sicily is a unique mixture of Italian and Greek cultures, which is evident in the classic dishes like like eggplant caponata, spaghetti alla norma, and tons of fresh seafood. The landscape is made up of glistening seas, colorful port towns, ancient temples, pizzas, and villas lined with grape and olive groves.

Amazing wine? Check. Rolling hills dotted with vineyards and cypress trees? Check. Charming medieval towns? Check, check, check. If the rich history and the storybook vistas aren't enough to lure you to Tuscany, just wait until you try the droolworthy food.
