This stunning national park just beyond Whitefish, Montana is known for its alpine lakes surrounded by rugged mountains and lush meadows. One of the park's highlights is the Going To The Sun Road, a 50-mile scenic stretch that takes road-trippers past some incredible vistas.

A lush and pristine gem in the Pacific Northwest, Olympic National Park is just about two hours from Seattle. You'll find the Hoh Rainforest, the largest temperate rainforest in the country, beautiful rugged beaches, and scenic lakes.

One of Utah's most famous National Parks, Zion is easily accessible from both Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. It's known for its larger-than-life red cliff canyons, sandstone cliffs, and incredible trails that attract both seasoned hikers and novices. If you go, don't miss Angel's Landing hike or the Emerald Pools, two of Zion's highlights.

Named for the iconic cactus trees that make up the barren landscape, Joshua Tree is known for its giant, climbable rocks, panoramic vistas of Coachella Valley, and the colorful wildflowers that bloom each spring.

In addition to alpine lakes, spruce forests, and diverse wildlife from grizzly bears to caribou, the park is home to the tallest peak in North America. If you want to experience the best Denali has to offer, try visiting in the summer months when the weather is temperate and the days are long.

You might associate Hawaii with swaying palm trees and sandy beaches, but the state is also home to one of the most unique national parks: Hawaii Volcanoes. Located on the big island, the park boasts Kīlauea and Mauna Loa, two active volcanoes. You'll find breathtaking volcanic landscapes everywhere you look, but make some time to drive the Chain of Craters Road, a 19-mile paved road that rises from the sea to the summit of Kilauea Volcano.
