Here's Where You Should Actually Travel This Spring

You've never seen anything quite like Tokyo during the spring, when the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and the city is covered in pink. The warm weather is perfect for exploring the city's street markets, ancient shrines, and for picnicking in Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo's main park.

Spring on Italy's Amalfi Coast is a lot like heaven. The temperatures have begun to spike, but not the crowds. Think: Colorful wildflowers blooming, the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, and freshly caught seafood and homemade pasta.

Need a dose of vitamin C before summer sets in? Head to Cartagena on Colombia's Caribbean cost. From the colorful Colonial-style houses in Cartagena's old walled city to the bustling beaches of Bocagrande, this city is ripe for exploring.

Spring in Amsterdam means one thing: tulip season, and from March through May, brightly colored flowers bloom in the fields of Keukenhof Gardens. Around the same time, the city comes out of its winter slumber: The days become sunnier and longer, perfect for biking around the canals, dining al fresco, and exploring the city's many parks.

Vancouver is an outdoorsy city, and there's no better time to visit than spring, when the weather is comfortable and the sun is shining.
