12 Stages Of Changing Your Major, As Told By Albus Dumbledore

Happiness can be found, even in the darkest times, if one only remembers to meet with their adviser.

    1. Welp, you just realized you really kind of hate your major.

    2. You can no longer bring yourself to do any of the work. Instead, you just stare at it like

    3. You've found yourself hoping teachers will forget they gave you homework. Or that you're in the class.

    4. You start to consider alternative careers. Hobbies can be jobs, right?

    5. And at some point it's just like, what's the point?

    6. And then it hits you: You don't have to live like this. You can change it all.

    7. You realize that just because you're good at something doesn't mean you have to do it forever.

    8. So, it's settled: You're changing your major!

    9. You've made the decision, and your panic has subsided. Next step: Stare at the list of majors until something speaks to you.

    10. After hours of flip-flopping, you've got your new major. Now all you have to do is make your really obscure credits count toward it.

    11. Some of your friends are like, "Whoa, are you sure about this?" But you've made up your mind.

    12. And before you know it, your major is changed and you're ready to head out in the world and do something you love. Go you!
