30 Products With Before And After Photos That'll Bring A Tear To Any Clean Freak's Eye

Your fellow clean freaks are calling these products "magic," so suffice to say they're worth the attention.

    1. A no-scrub Wet & Forget shower cleaner that you can spray on your shower grime, forget about overnight, and then rinse off in the morning. It tackles soap scum, oils, mold, and mildew stains with zero elbow grease required, just how I want (need) it.

A dirty shower with a yellow floor
    The shower floor all clean

The Wet & Forget shower cleaner is safe to use on most surfaces except for natural marble.

Promising review: "I have well water. Something in my well water reacts with copper plumbing and turns my shower tiles blue. Since my bathroom color scheme isn't on the blue spectrum, this is problematic. The well water also causes the shower glass to film up quickly. I've tried dozens and dozens of cleaners and scrubbed till my arms ached trying to get ahead of the blue and scumminess. My ambition in life is NOT to be a full time bathroom scrubber! I saw this stuff on a professional house cleaner's TikTok (sorry, don't remember which one) and thought 'what the heck, might as well give it a try.' Oh my goodness, the first day after my shower I sprayed this stuff all over and walked away. The next morning there was a NOTICEABLE reduction in the blue and the glass looked clearer too. Day two, sprayed again and walked away. The next morning the blue was gone except for a few spots on the floor tile and the glass looked amazing. Day three I sprayed the remaining spots and the next morning the shower practically looked new. NO SCRUBBING AT ALL!!!! This is my new favorite shower cleaner. The ONLY con I have is that it makes me sneeze while I'm spraying from inside the shower, but I can live with that." —L. J. Petillo

Get it from Amazon for $20.98+ (available in packs, in a refill size, and in two different scents).

    2. An all-purpose car upholstery cleaner so you can deep-clean your car interior whether you're dealing with stains from vomit, coffee (me), waterproof sunscreen, milk, or soda. You'll be saying, "Oh, that's the original color."

Promising review: "Holy moly, how did I never know that this existed?? This cleaner is nothing short of a miracle!! My backseat bench has been dirty with mystery stains now for at least a decade, stains that were created by little kids, various passengers, cargo, who knows. I tried EVERYTHING to get out the hazy, dirty staining on my charcoal-colored seats to no avail. Hot water and soap, alcohol based rubs, carpet cleaners, fabric cleaners — literally EVERYTHING, plus lots of elbow grease. I grew frustrated and resigned that my car will look like a dump forever. Then I started doing some research and came upon this cleaner. Many reviews stated it was the best thing ever, car sites named it their top choice, etc. I decided its worth a last-ditch try, and boy I am so glad I did! It took four to five sprays, some minor agitating and rubbing with a broad brush, wipe off with the enclosed cloth, and whaddaya know?? POOF! STAINS GONE! I simply can't believe how easy this was and how pain free. I will go tomorrow and clean ALL my car seats! I highly recommend this, it’s the bomb." —Manddun

Promising review: "I am allergic to cats so here I am with two cats who shed like wild. Their hair is covering all the furniture. I have special pet covers on my bed to protect my comforter but I hate having to sleep under it since my cats sleep on my bed. I have tried so many cat hair remover brushes, gloves, sponges that never worked. I was ready to shave the cats and call it a day. Then along comes the ChomChom brush. I had seen it on TikTok. It not only has the lint roller but a bar that collects the hair. I love the little hairball container of the roller so I don't have to spend time cleaning off the lint brush. I can't believe this product works! I have an off-white couch and I didn't realize how much hair there was. After I used it, my couch looked lighter in color. I got my comforter cleaned off in minutes. It's a simple and inexpensive way to cure your pet hair woes." —Dondi

    Britt Ross / BuzzFeed

My former colleague Brittany Ross owns this and loves it: "I don't know what kind of fairy dust this plant-based spray is hiding inside, but it made my mucked-up fridge sparkle within a MINUTE! I was skeptical when I first sprayed it onto my fridge because it took a second for the streaks to start fading, but lo and behold, there was *zero* residue left behind after a super brief wipe sesh. Once I saw how downright dazzling my fridge looked, I decided to put it to the ~real~ test — my filthy dishwasher. Again, a minute of buffing with a microfiber towel was enough to make it look like a brand new appliance, and it worked wonders on the greasy stainless steel edges of my oven, too. I can confidently say I will never be without at least two bottles of this magic spray in my house for as long as I live."

Promising review: "This is a miracle worker on stainless steel. I have tried everything to get my stainless to shine like it should, even the home remedies, which do NOT work — sorry but they don't. This stuff is the best I have tried. And then above that, there are a few select products that you revere and hold with the highest honor. This is that product. I have used Folex for years and it works wonders on everything from spilt coffee, wine, and dog messes, without any chemical smells or residue. But my love for Folex grew so much deeper when I dropped a 32-ounce jar of salsa down the stairs. My husband took one look and declared that the stairs were ruined and would need to be replaced. To use, apply the product to the stain, and let sit for 30–60 minutes. Then blot and let air-dry. It also works for cleaning up kennels, pet carriers, and litter boxes. One reviewer even used it to clean up milk that had rotted in their carpet.

Promising review: "I don’t know how I ever survived without this. There’s tons of 'pet stain/odor remover' products out there, but this by far is the absolute best. I cringed paying the $20 for it when others are between $5–$10, but I have NO ISSUES paying now. I foster dogs, some puppies, some older, some not housebroken, and every room in my house is carpeted except the kitchen, which means I have lots of accidents. I spray enough to saturate if it’s a lot of urine, let it soak for 10 minutes, then wipe it up with a hand towel. Then I put a larger towel on top of it if it’s in a high-traffic area until it’s completely dry. It’s taken out every stain and more importantly the odor is gone! I will never stop buying this product. I recommend it to everyone who has dogs!" —Shelly

    13. fume-free oven cleaner to tackle the tough grease and baked-on spills in your oven and grill with just a spray and a wipe 💅 'cause now you're a professional.

Promising review: "Ridiculously impressive. I hadn't cleaned my oven in...well, ever. It's been *at least* eight years since it was cleaned. Mounds of baked on black plague, a window on the door that hadn't been transparent probably since it came out of the box by the original owners, and nary a base surface to be seen anywhere. I sprayed about half the can and let it sit for about 16 hours. When I went to see how well it did or didn't work, I was floored. The mounds of filth and gunk came up like layers of mud. A quarter roll of paper towels and 15 minutes later and the entire interior of the oven was 90% clean. No elbow grease needed. Seriously beyond impressed with whatever magic was used in this formula, but I'll never have a filthy oven again with how easy it is to clean with this stuff." —Kyle Vick

Its handle adjusts up to 60 inches high so you can customize it to you.

I (Haley) live in a carpeted home with two *gorgeous* cats, but between them and my own hair, our carpets were starting to look pretty dingy. Our vacuum was helping do some damage control, but I was worried the carpet might have hair trapped deep down in its fibers. Bad news first: I was right, but the good news was that one round with this rake-like broom, and the carpets look practically new again. It brought up multiple fists-worth of hair, dust, and debris — so much hair that tbh it was a little shocking lol. It did take a little elbow grease and felt like a bit of an arm workout, but I didn't really mind since the results were such a relief (and I've been wanting to exercise a little more anyway). I'm so happy I invested in this, and it's worth the money for anyone with carpets who's ready for a deep cleaning solution that isn't just slapping a bandaid on the problem.

Promising review: "I don't typically write product reviews, but I felt compelled to sing the praises of this one, because WOW did it make a huge difference! I have three dogs and three cats, so as you can imagine, things get a little hairy. After using it once, my carpets look brand new. I was astonished by how much hair came out of the carpets, since we vacuum every day and even have a Roomba. But this gets down where the vacuums can't reach." —Leslie

Hand on my Bible 🤚, WITHIN SECONDS of me adding the product to the tub and turning my tub jets on, gunk started coming out of the jet!!! WITHIN SECONDS!!! These are biodegradable and odor-free.

Promising review: "I seriously can't believe how well these little tablets work. I had the most disgusting Hydro Flask coffee mug — I tried everything. A bottle brush, different kinds of soap, vinegar, EVERYTHING, and there was still a seemingly impenetrable layer of black sludge inside. I let a tablet sit in each of my mugs for an hour or two, and the black sludge rinsed out COMPLETELY, without even scrubbing. They look brand-new. What a magical product. No weird smell or taste afterward, either. I liked it so much I used it on another Hydro Flask I use primarily to hold my Bloody Mary mix in the fridge. I couldn't put anything else in it because it would always taste like spicy tomato juice. Bottle Bright to the rescue! No residual smell or taste anymore. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "Best, most affordable brush-and-sponge shampoo on the market! No joke, I have tried everything; even homemade hacks like dish detergent mixed with olive oil. Nothing works like this brush shampoo. Don't waste your money on the Beauty Blender soap and other big-name brands." —Lily

Promising review: "I have a roommate who constantly fries everything. The walls have streaks of dirty vegetable oil running down them. GP66 got rid off all the oily wall streaks easily and made the walls great for painting. My housecleaner loves this stuff and asked me to order more for her." —Denis Dellaloggia

    30. descaling solution for getting rid of the aggressive lime scale buildup inside your electric kettle or coffee maker, because, bad news: The interior *also* needs cleaning. The good news? Your water will heat faster and your coffee will taste *that* much better after you give descaling a whirl.

Promising review: "I had never even thought of descaling my two-year-old Keurig before Amazon suggested it, but this stuff was cheap, I knew I was supposed to descale regularly, and I knew this kind of descaler wouldn't be as hard to rinse out as the smell of vinegar. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but the next morning it took much less time for the water to heat up and my coffee tasted twice as strong and rich as it did before descaling, which means the brewing temperature is higher now that the heating element isn't caked with mineral deposits. Now I feel a little silly for drinking mediocre coffee for so long." —Lenore

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.
