    12 Clever Little Things People Do To Feel Motivated

    We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us about the tricks they use to feel motivated. Here are some of the best responses:

    1. Watch "clean with me" videos when you need some motivation to get up and tidy your own home.

    2. If you really don't feel like doing something, tell yourself you can quit after 10 minutes — chances are that after 10 minutes, you won't want to stop.

    3. Find things you can reward yourself with after you've finished a task you've been avoiding.

    4. If you have a lot to do, take a moment to calmly sit down and make a plan for how you're going to tackle each task.

    5. If your goal is fitness-based, sign yourself up for a race or group workout, so you have something to work toward.

    6. And if you want to make a morning workout, leave your exercise gear out the night before.

    7. Swap your morning alarm for a song that motivates you to get up and start the day.

    8. Take time to read positive affirmations.

    9. Come up with a series of short-term goals that you can focus on before worrying about achieving your long-term ones.

    10. If you need to get a bunch of things done around the house, put on a pair of sneakers.

    11. When you have a new goal, make a list of reasons why you want to achieve it.

    12. And leave yourself notes when you are feeling motivated, to remind future-you to keep going.
