Promising review: "Love the weight of the fabric...feels super durable and suitable for all-purpose wear. Especially perfect for transitional seasons. I can wear this long-sleeve solo or under a jacket and be perfectly comfortable." —wingman11

These t-shirts are high quality and ultra-durable; they're literally made for people working in the toughest conditions. Even if you're not getting your hands dirty, these tees make for a great fall staple. I like to layer mine over a waffle knit or even a hoodie.
Promising review: "These shirts are perfect! Great quality for a great price and are also shipped well. I’ve bought several of these and will continue to buy more. They also are very durable and last for a long time. Great working shirts or just nice T-shirts." —Kristenw329

I purchased this chore coat a few weeks ago and I can't say enough about it. I wanted something soft and cozy to wear while working from home in the tundra that is northern Michigan, but also wanted to feel a tad more sophisticated than the shorts and T-shirts I've been sporting all summer. Now, I slip this on every morning over my pajamas and consider it my way of 'getting dressed' for work. Sometimes wool can irritate my neck and wrists, but this boiled Merino is so incredibly soft and hasn't given me any skin irritation at all. The best way I can describe this chore coat is that it combines all the best things about your favorite warm sweater, the ease and simplicity of a cardigan, combined with the versatility of a neutral jacket. It's quickly become the centerpiece of my fall uniform.

I own several pairs of these shorts and they are hands-down the most comfortable lounge shorts of all time. They somehow have the breathability of nylon basketball shorts, but also have a just-warm-enough fleece-like lining that sets them apart from other athletic shorts. I am unashamed in admitting that I live in mine. You can also have them personalized with a letter or symbol of your choice (and believe me, you'll need to do this because everyone in your household is going to end up purchasing multiple pairs and you'll need to be able to differentiate who's whose).
Promising review: "These shorts are absolutely incredible! I wear mine almost everyday when after I get home from work. They are so beyond comfortable. They fit true to size, are the perfect length and will be the best decision you’ve ever made to buy them. I would rate them 10 stars if I could. I have since bought two pairs of every color since my first purchase!!" —Levi V.

Promising review: "These pants are awesome, they are my new favorite pair of pants! I haven't used Dickies since I was a kid in the early 2000s. I am buying these again, without a doubt. Sizing was perfect." —vibrantkiss
Get them from Urban Outfitters for $59 (available in sizes 30-36 and five colors).
Promising review: "These are simply the best socks my feet have had the fortune to be in. The padding on the underside and the complete lack of seams make them the most comfortable socks I've ever found. I do a lot of walking and hiking so good socks are imperative. I've bought merino wool socks before and I thought that they couldn't be bettered, but I was mistaken." —sonicscot

Promising review: "Having dressed in button-down shirts — for business, work, and casual occasions — for so long, choosing to break my mold by pairing a wool turtleneck and mock neck sweaters with suit and suit separates was worth the change. These sweaters are very comfortable and warm. With this sweater and my sport coat, I didn't even need an overcoat, at least in mild winter weather." —Martin
Get it from Jos. A. Bank for $45 (available in sizes S-XL, including big & tall sizes, and two colors).
Promising review: "Good Jacket for fall/winter. I would say this is an essential piece for any wardrobe. Not too heavy, not too light. Good for everyday use especially in the colder months. You can easily put this jacket on over a hoodie, no worries and it still won’t add too much weight like some jackets. The only thing is that it restricts your movement around the arms a little bit but I understand it has to be worn in so it will fit much looser. Overall a solid piece. Can’t go wrong with Levi’s." —Wayne De Leon

Madewell has been making womens jeans for a while now, so it's no surprise that their mens denim is equally as soft, flexible, and comfortable. I own several pairs myself, and particularly love the cut on these — the Athletic Slim — because they're just roomy enough through the seat and leg that they feel breathable, but the slightly tapered leg gives them a clean, tailored look.

Promising review: "I was a bit suspicious of the hype around there, but decided to try them after all. I needed a pair of everyday fall-winter-spring boots, so I liked the idea of extra lining because my feet are always cold. I do find them surprisingly warm. Also very comfortable, and no stress on my back or knees at all. I think if you live in a warmer climate or want more of a year-round boot, I would go with the unlined 500 version, but for me, this is precisely the kind of boot I needed. We'll see how they hold up, but so far I like them a lot." —D. West

Promising review: "I have purchased this same Detroit Jacket from Carhartt several times over the years because it is a really tough work jacket with with a warm blanket lining, and it’s a nice jacket length for working in the shop or for driving. The heavy canvas material cuts the wind nicely on cold days. I love this coat. You can’t beat it for the price and it is one tough work jacket." —MJ Smith

Super high quality fleece with a solid internal backing to make it windproof. Fits true to size, and of course the zippers and overall construction are top notch. Just might have to buy another!" —Pete

Promising review: "I wanted some new slippers for around the house (and occasionally a short trip outside) and looked at quite a few options on Amazon. After looking at options two to three times more expensive I decided to give these a try, due to the mostly positive reviews and I think I made the right choice. I've had my pair for a couple months and wear them regularly. The memory foam insole is comfortable and provides some support on my mostly wood and tile floors. I usually wear them with socks to avoid getting sweaty feet, but the woven fabric is pretty breathable (one of the reasons I bought them). —Matt

Promising review: "Wore out my old fleece vest (8+ years) and needed to find one to replace it so onto Amazon I go. This vest popped up and for the price and ability to try it and return it if I don't like it, what the heck, $20 is worth at least a try. Well, I have to say I was surprised at the quality of the material, the quality of the construction and the fit. They had the color I wanted (Forest Green) in stock and the color matched what I thought it would be. I've been wearing the vest since it arrived a couple of days ago and so far, it's comfortable and warm." —Trebor
Get it from Amazon for $8.18+ (available in sizes XS-XXL and 19 colors/patterns).
Promising review: "Bought these for use at work. I work in a hospital environment where I have to look professional but can get messy at times. I spent $ 25 on each pair of pants and they look like more expensive pants. They feel a little funny at first. Very stiff the first time you wear them. Belt loops just barely fit my belt. The front pockets are somewhat smaller than my jeans pockets. But they are very durable and easy to clean when you get into a mess. They definitely fit the "office casual" dress code. Perfect for my job. I'd assume they'd be good for many applications. Car repair, pest control, restaurant or other jobs where there is a need to look decent but not worry so much about your clothes getting dirty. Two thumbs up!!! Highly recommended." —Beth Reynolds

Promising review: "This is my third pair of Clark's Wallabee Chukkas. They quickly become my go-to shoe and get a lot of use. On average I'm getting about five to six years out of each pair I've owned, wearing them I'd say four to five times per week during that time period. I live in a large city as well so I do quite a bit of walking." —Brian
