LILY ALLEN – 5 O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING (WHO’D HAVE KNOWN) REMIX
Lily Allen is cashing in on the success of that damn T-Pain song! Allen released a remix of the track which is basically the same but it’s a bit more polished and a tad more upbeat. I LOVED her second studio album It’s Not Me, It’s You when it was released back in 2009, a shame it wasn’t huge for her, so many great POP songs on that album. If you haven’t heard it yet do yourself a favor and get it now! Listen to the new version of “Who’d Have Known” titled “5 O’ Clock In The Morning (Who’d Have Known)”. I assume the new title is to help fans of the T-Pain track recognize the song. Enjoy!
Katy Perry - Part Of Me (Lyric Video)
If you watched last night’s Grammy Awards telecast, then you caught blue-haired Katy Perry’s debut performance of new single “Part Of Me”. The singer is newly-divorced from ex-husband Russell Brand, and with lyrics in the Dr. Luke- and Max Martin-co-produced dance-pop jam like “you took my light and drained me down, but that was then and this is now,” we can’t help feeling the smack of irony here.
Nicki Minaj - Young Forever (Audio)
Nicki Minaj sings about timeless love in the new “Young Forever”, a candy-coated ballad of unknown origins. Reportedly produced by Dr. Luke, the song is of course rumored to be from her upcoming Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded release, and it complicates what is already expected to be a busy day for the Grammy-nominated Harajuku Barbie (since she’s expected to perform a different new song, “Roman Holiday”, on the telecast).
