10 THINGS LITERATURE STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND

Your degree has ruined literature for you. Well done, degree.

It gets defiled in every possible way. Scribbles in the margin? Check. Creased spine? Check. Missing a page/front cover/back cover? Check.

2. If it's you own book:

No one is allowed to so much as breathe on it. White gloves will be worn, and if you so much as crease the spine, I will end you. We're going "special collections" on this book.

3. If it's a course book:

It's so large, you might as well being reading Ulysses. You either read none of it, a little bit, or a large chunk, before you give up.

You savour every page, no matter how long, not wanting it to end.

Once those little stickers are in, they are never coming out. You can't be bothered.

7. Revision:

How do you even revise this stuff? You try memorising the whole book. After five minutes and two pages, you give in and Google Sparknotes.

Knowing Uni would be hard, you chose a degree you'd thought you'd enjoy. Even though sometimes it seems hard, you know it'll be worth it in the end.
