Two 12-Year-Old Boys Have Been Charged With Raping A Girl

    The incidents happened at a primary school.


    Two children have been charged with the sexual assault of a girl at a primary school on Sydney's Northern Beaches.


    The 12-year-olds were arrested at Chatswood police station on Tuesday after the NSW department of education notified the state's child abuse squad.


    One boy was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, police said.

    He has been granted bail and is due to appear at a children’s court on Thursday 22 September.

    The other boy was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and sexual intercourse with a child under 10.

    He has been granted bail and is due to appear at a children’s court on Thursday 20 October.

    "Parents and carers of students at the school are in the process of being notified and police request the community respect the privacy of the young people involved," police said.
