A Rugby Player Has Been Accused Of Sexually Assaulting An 18-Year-Old Woman At A Party

Police allege the Canterbury Cup player assaulted a woman at a house party in Sydney's northwest.

Sydney man Kurt De Luis will today face court over the alleged sexual assault of a woman at a house party at the weekend.

Detectives from The Hills Police Area Command investigated reports an 18-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted by a man at a party at a home at Oatlands in the early hours of Saturday.

De Luis, who has played for junior rugby league club the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, was arrested on Monday morning at his Oatlands home and taken to Castle Hill Police station.

He was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and four counts of sexually touching another person without consent, police said in a statement.

De Luis was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday afternoon.
