The man who allegedly defaced the makeshift memorial for murdered Melbourne woman Eurydice Dixon in the park where her body was found has been charged.
A 31-year-old Bulleen man was arrested on Thursday morning and later charged with criminal damage, offensive behaviour and making offensive graffiti, Victoria Police said in a statement.
The man has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on August 10.
Dixon's body was found on a Carlton North soccer pitch by a passer-by shortly before 3am on June 13.
Jaymes Todd, 19, has been arrested and charged with Dixon's rape and murder.
The graffiti was located at the Princes Park memorial site at about 3.50am on June 18, police said.
That night vigils were held at the park and around the country to remember Dixon and the 29 other women killed this year alone.
