3. You might even qualify for free or low-cost coverage through Medicaid.
4. Certain life events allow you to get covered within 60 days
5. If you don’t qualify for Medicaid, mark your calendar for November 15th. That’s when the Marketplaces open up again!
6. No one can be treated differently in the Marketplace because of sex, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
7. You can’t be turned down or charged more for having a pre-existing condition.
8. And being transgender is no longer considered a pre-existing condition.
9. Some plans even cover surgeries related to gender transition.
10. Kids with parents who are LGBT can get covered just like anyone else.
